    315lb Bench Press PR

    Just hit 315# on bench, pretty excited about it considering it's my worst lift.

    Pay no attention to my sig, I'm in the process of fixing those maxes after posting this.

    My arms are my weak spot. Not too worried about them though, they look good in poses which is all that matters. I'd like to compete in both powerlifting and bodybuilding starting next year.

    Congrats on the PR, however, I think you are mistaking explosiveness for bouncing it off your chest. If you're that explosive then pausing it wouldn't be a problem. Nonetheless, solid lift.

    I can see. I just tend to not touch my chest at all (or if I do, very lightly) because it cheats the momentum a little bit, but hey it's still obvious you're very strong. How long have you been working out?

    I also saw this guy at the gym today bench 315 like it was nothing. Did something around 5 reps, so you can always look up hehe.

    Been lifting for 3 years.

    Started at a bodyweight of 130lbs or so. I had trouble benching 95lbs for a few reps, couldn't do 135lbs. Couldn't squat 95lbs. Couldn't deadlift 135lbs.

    Eat. Train. Sleep.

    As long as you are stopping right above the chest it doesn't matter. It is actually more difficult that way.

    Solid lift bro cannot wait until I am posting a video about my 300 lb max in due time. The only thing that would piss me off is if my spotter had his hands on the bar the whole time I would be mad af. But that was a strong lift.
