Chicago Illinois brah checking in but want to say I have romanticizedTexas since I was a friggin 13-14 bro wanting to move south to the desert land with my fellow cowboy nice people.

No lib here. Grew up in a Ron Paul supporters house(parents) and we support Rand. My parents are pushing 60(feelsbadman) and hate Illinois with a passion, always have but job was good. It's between Texas and Tennessee. i LOVE TN, but I have a feeling Texas is very close to my heart too.

Been listening to Ryan Bingham, Townes Van Zandt ,Reckless Kelly, Mr.Guy Clark, Robert Earle Keene, Joe Ely and Chris Knight for years!! Feel so out of place up here it's ridiculous and depressing. Texas brahs, you may not like transplants but I feel I'd fit right in with you fellas it makes me sad every year when I deal with the Chicago winters... Last two years I have wanted just after Christmas time to buy my ticket and head to the Steamboat Music Festival with my Dad. So jelly of all you Texans.

Nothing pisses off a hipster more than me. In shape, work at a gym, clean cut and look good riding a cafe' racer Triumph Bonneville. There jimmies get so rustled that a normal looking dude rides "there" bikes they freak out lmao. I heard Austin wants to "keep it weird", but it sounds like a bunch of wanna be *******s trying to hard are making it the next Portland. Throw them in a rocket off the planet and I'd be cool with it, or even worse, drop them off on the southside of Chicago.

strong username to post ratio. not into the hipster scene, but the reason I heard Austin was awesome was because of the nightlife. not too down to hang out with the weird crowd, but then again, some may think im weird for wanting to move from LA to Austin. i just want to drive a truck to my house that costs 1/3 of a condo in LA

yes it is awesome... developing very fast. guns galore... eh... more so in the surrounding areas (Buda, Hutto, Bastdrop, etc) since austin is more liberal due to all the college kids. has a lot of potential too, many large companies setting up shop there. if you have a high income, you cant beat Lake travis/westlake area. beautiful year round, lots of things to do. can walk anywhere downtown and not worry about thugs.
