She obviously had some kind of manic episode. I just don't get how she pulled it off. No so much physically, b/c I see how you could do it, but more so how she ended up where she did. Of all places to end up she is in the water tank. I also don't get why she was at the hotel to begin with. Also, an interesting post from the reddit page someone else linked:

I don't know much about this, but I certainly don't believe it was ghosts or spirits as I don't believe in that. I think it's more possible that she was murdered. (By a human, of course.)

Fair enough-again I had heard they decided to name something after her. Obviously another piece of nonsense. One of the first threads I came across when looking for this case was titled did a ghost kill her? That tells you the level the debate of most of the threads on her.

Yep-the chances of it are pretty slim, just like the chances of a piece of ice from a plane hitting you or your house-but it does happen very infrequently. If you look both ways before you cross the road you should be safe-but there is always the chance some idiot or criminal running from the cops will go through a red light & hit you. Just one of those strange coincidences that crop up-if you ever read Fortean Times you will see these types of things probably happen more often than you would think.

Don't really get the glasses theory-I have piss poor eyesight for anything more than a foot or so away from me & I have always managed fine in elevators without wearing specs. It is far more likely she was having some kind of psychotic episode & didn't know what she was doing.

Of course she might have gone to the wrong room on the wrong floor & knocked on the door of a lunatic, who then would have had to subdue her, rape her, murder her & then dispose of the body & try to get rid of any DNA evidence-now I know she was in that thing for a couple of weeks-but I haven't heard of any signs of trauma to her body that indicate she was strangled, suffocated, bound etc, nor any evidence that she was raped & presumably neither did the medical examiner & their team-which is why it was ruled as a tragic misadventure.

A murder would explain more easily how the body got in the tank-a 6 foot plus guy would find it easier to dump a female body in something that high than a 5 foot 4 female would getting into it herself.

I am simply saying that there is no logical explanation that fits all of the data in this story. Did I ever say that it was a demon? I just simply said that we will never know so there's no point to being creeped out by it or try to figure it out because you'll never figure it out. If people who saw the actual evidence and examained the data couldn't figure it out then you won't be able to neither.

There is more mystery than that btw. It isn't just the doors. It isn't her weird behavior. It isn't the tank. It isn't the hotel. It isn't any single factor but all of them combined that makes this so bizarre and difficult to explain.

Also rejecting the existence of demons and other spirits is just as dumb as the people who insisted that the earth was flat.
