Common sense would tell you its all connected. The miseducation, the advocation of poor diet and sedentary lifestyle, the importance placed on celebrities and entertainers, the blatant incompetent spending by the government, the omitting of certain information and stories by mainstream media, etc.
But yeah! It's all about gun control.
In essence, I'm on your side, I don't care if people own 40 rifles and 20 handguns. But where you lose me is that you guys don't want to better the country by performing a peaceful rebellion against the government/government agencies and affiliates and the toxic entity that is hollywood/media so the youth can have a chance at wholesome living
You'd rather just say "man I can't wait till a trayvon martin tries to rob me, I'll be so ready"

That's a nice collection! Glad I live in a very gun friendly state. What out well meaning liberal friends don't understand is that the best defense against a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.
Back in 2013 when the Obama Admin attempted all those unconstitutional gun bans it pushed me to join the NRA.Carolina GameCOCKS

I agree with you. However, even if firearm ownership is a net negative on society (which I do not believe it is), I am still against gun control for pragmatic and ideological reasons. I dont own/carry firearms to "solve the crime problem" or some chit. I do it to protect my loved ones and because its my right to do so.

Liberty does have drawbacks. I am willing to accept them whereas others prefer less freedom.

I've said it before in these gun debate threads and I'll say it again (and probably be ignored again)...
But for what comprehensible reason does any reasonable, sane, law-abiding person need to own an automatic rifle, whose only purpose and design was intended to kill a large amount of people as quickly and effortlessly as possible? I just can't wrap my mind around this, every time these gun debate threads pop up. Personal protection is one thing, and I have nothing against the right of someone to own a small firearm/close range shotgun or whatever. But a ****ing assault rifle? It's absurd. I can understand someone who is a gun collector, as I am a collector of some things myself, and in that aspect I can understand the desire for someone to collect rifles, not for their use but simply to admire... but nothing I collect is designed specifically to kill large amounts of people. And I cannot support anyone easily being able to obtain something that is, regardless of if it's just for admiration or not.
