1. It's a web app, not a phone app. You goto the website from any device (computer, phone, tablet, whatever) and it changes layouts depending on the device.
2. We keep your bank and credit card companies out of the situation. You don't connect like you would with Mint or YNAB. Some people are more comfortable with this for privacy concerns, some people's banks don't connect properly, and I think the manual process makes you more aware of your financial situation.
3. Wrote it from scratch -- HTML5, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and JS/Ajax elements.
4. It doesn't. It just started as a tool I used for myself and I thought other people might like it. If it catches on I may look to monetize, probably one ad up top, but I may not.

While I quickly got tired of my vlogging camera thing I've been steadily working on my youtube channel. It's kind of dumb but I'm passionate about it lol. Maybe I'll make a blog/website and use what I've learned in this thread so it was not all for waste.

website brahs, building my first website based off the info in this thread. I am mainly looking for a website to post my research on ballistics in high powered rifles, and would like to add affiliates such as bullet manufacturers down the line. Input and constructive criticism is appreciated.

How do you guys find images to put on your sites? I don't want to pay for any images (at least until I'm making a solid, steady income). I also obviously don't want to get smacked with copyright infringement. I am in the fitness niche and there are very limited number of images with a creative commons license.

Wikipedia, troll forums and message the poster asking if you can use it with his permission, take a pic from google and watermark it with a link to the owner's site (not sure if this is 100% good to go), but from 123RF for stock photos - each pic of good size is $1-2 at most.
I ALWAYS rep back, just leave a link to one of your posts in the rep comment.

Yeah finding photos is something that I've been looking into. My articles used to be just text, but pics really just brighten up the page. Like the above poster said Wikipedia (although I think wiki commons is for pictures) and flickr. As of late, I kind of DGAF. I'll search google images, and then make sure it isn't someone's picture outright and then use it.
Stock photos are definitely your best bet, but unless you're making money I wouldn't waste money. Although as they say you gotta spend money to make money.

Just wondering if you brah's wouldn't mind giving a little advice to see if it's even worth starting up again. I tried this a few years ago but had the idea stolen from me trying to get advice….. I was quite upset and lost $450 dollars trying to get everything up and going. IS there still money to be made with Affiliate Marketing websites (blogs, etc). I was trying to decide on a new niche and try again. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This time I don't want to give up. I've read that this type of marketing strategy is FLOODED and there isn't any money to be made any longer.

There will always be money to be made in this business. New niches crop up every day. Tons of niches are occupied by people doing a crappy job. All you have to do is put in more work or get there first. The failure rate is massive of course, but, then again, anything with a ~$20 start-up cost is always going to have a massive failure rate. There is no risk.
Anybody make custom logos? I'm looking for someone on BB.com because, presumably, they will at least know what Powerlifting is.
I desperately need help with website/layout aesthetics brahs:

Goodbye to my first website who dies today. It taught me a lot of things to do and not to do and had a nice few views considering. If anyone wants to visit its deathbed before it goes-

Now I am planning two sites, one is a slow burn site which will have articles of different kinds and another will be an amazon affiliate, just in the planning stages now for both.
