Yes there are guns but you have to have a reason to own one AKA farmers ect. Its pretty hard for someone to get hold of a gun here, unless you have a reason to have one or know drug dealers ect.

They cut someones head off in the street and the guy with the gun went to aim at the cops. Only 1 of them died FYI the other guys now on trial.

These are totally different cases as anyone with half a braincell could understand.

The officer was 100% justified in what he did. He started off with a calm demeanor and gave the suspect multiple orders do drop the knife. He clearly stated his intent to shoot him if he did not. He gave the suspect a good 30 seconds to drop the knife.

The reason he didnt use a taser is that they are not 100% effective all the time. All it takes is one of those barbs to not lodge fully into the skin. If the barb gets hung up on clothing, or hits your belt, or misses completely, then the taser is useless.

The reason he shot him 5 times is not because he's a bad shot or not because he's not confident in his shooting, but because you can get shot once and continue attacking. The officer shot him until the suspect dropped down and was no longer a threat. If after 5 shots the suspect continued pursuing, then the officer would have shot him 5 more times if necessary.

Unless I'm working or drinking I carry a gun on me every time I leave the house. I wouldn't even hesitate to kill someone if I thought the my life or a family member's life was in danger. This is a fuked up world, people have mental issues, people are on drugs, people are just evil. The second you think "this guy must have mental problems, I'm going to walk away" is the day you end up with a knife in your back.
