My wife insisted on keeping her last name before we got married, or do the hyphenated thing. I didn't push any issues but finally I told her if she didn't, I would just leave my wedding ring in the jewelry box and wear it only on special occasions...not as a threat but a compromise. She didn't go for that and took my name.
She now works in HR and has a theory to never hire a chick with a hyphenated name, lol.
Inb4 cool story bro.

Not that I'd be getting married in the first place, but in this scenario I'd be happy to dispense with that tradition and let her keep her name if it also meant that we could forego the engagement ring.
However let me clarify...she keeps her name as it is. There will be absolutely no hyphenating. Her or the kids. Fuk that.I call it "Celebration". It's sexual, and violent...

My best mans wife who he has a kid with. This lady still goes out clubbing (without him) and comes back at 4am drunk as ****. She calls him a little b!tch in front of me and my wife. Throws stuff at him when she's pissed. Told my wife don't ever disrespect me like that ever. Sad truth is once it gets like that it's for life. It's a mans role to lay the law IMO and also not way too overbearing either. Wether women admit it or not they also like it. As I've heard them admit it. Good luck OP.

Then she wouldn't be my wife. I have yet to meet a woman with a hyphenated name or that kept their last name that isn't a mega feminist bitch. Actually they just seem to be mean terrible people in general that are completely self absorbed. I could see celebrities keeping their name, and I haven't met any so I'm excluding them.

No. She is a doctor who is a partner at a firm. It would be annoying professionally.
She has pictures of us at her office and that shows commitment to me. It's not like she is trying to hide something."I don't say goodbye until the pain says hello. That's how you know the set is done." -Greg Plitt
