ITT: Lots of people who have never had to actually deal with extreme couponers
As someone who has worked as a cashier and has dealt with these people, they are (usually) extremely annoying, extremely cheap and extremely rude.
First of all, half the time their coupons don't even work. They'll try to use a coupon for a trial size hair shampoo on one of the large ass home shampoo bottles, or they'll try to buy a 6oz jar of sauce using a coupon intended for only 3oz. This is all in the fine print, and when you point it out to them they will usually throw a hissy fit and eventually just thrown their hands up in the air and proclaim "OK FINE then just take it off I DONT WANT IT" so you have to go through 90 bags worth of bullsh!t to find a few jars of sauce, and then find it on the register and remove it. I've seen these people stand there and argue for 3 minutes because a coupon that gets them 75 cents off a bag of chips isn't working. Most of the time these people are also hoarders and are buying sh!t they don't need. Why do you need 50 toothbrushes? 80 sticks of deodorant? 200 disposable razor blades? 30 jugs of detergent? You could argue that these people are stocking up so they don't have to buy these products for a long time, but in 2 weeks they'll be back buying the exact. same. things. It's ridiculous.
I don't mind the people who come in with a lot of coupons that actually work, are organized, are sympathetic to the poor people stuck behind them (and will usually tell them that it's going to be awhile and to go to another line), and are cooperative. I have no problem with these people. But these people are NOT the majority. Most of the time they are people who fit the description of my paragraph above, and all the while they are completely indifferent to the people stuck behind them being held up, and often actually seem to enjoy inconveniencing them and will raise a fit whenever they can so they can hold up the line even further.
So yes, I agree with OP. Most extreme couponers can eat my arsehole, and I would always do whatever I can to check all of their coupons and I would get a warm fuzzy feeling deep within myself every time I pointed out why one of their coupons didn't work and that they couldn't save 50 cents on their 85 packs of pencils. Boo hoo.

Never in my experience has this happened. Normally it's the other way around, dumb cashiers who don't understand that it doesn't mean just the picture on the coupon and it actually means ANYTHING THAT BRAND. Have seen only 2 extreme couponers check out (gf being one of them) and usually they have to educate the cashiers on the coupon policy because most of them don't understand how coupons works.

many times they will also ask that all their chit be split up into multiple orders so they can reuse certain coupons, annoying as fuark
worked at a grocery store once with a gas station attached similar to most coscto's. Well you would rack up gas points, every 1000 points was 10 cents off your gas or something. Certain items sometimes had bonus points, well people would pull a super coupon trick with 4-5 multiple orders and buy like 300 ****ing blocks of cheese and end up being able to save hundreds and hundreds of dollars on gas if they got so many gallonsFree Men Don't Ask

I think its funny OP made a rage thread and now couponers are collaborating. Through making this thread about how you hate couponers so much you actually just created more.
If you hate your job so much get new one. You seem very unhappy.Journal: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=139898123&page=240

I was almost with you until you said this. You should really think about what you post before you make yourself look like a complete fhucktard. Coupons are created for marketing purposes, and sometimes they're even created so people (like you) who work at poverty jobs like yours can get some decent stuff from the store once in a while. Extreme couponing not even once, but I think you're just a FHUCKING idiot tbh... leel

You're right, I guess instead of working a "poverty job" such as a cashier I should've just stayed unemployed and applied for government assistance, leaching off of society and taking free handouts. Or are you implying I should intentionally do my job incorrectly and accept coupons which don't work, and is in essence allowing customers to steal from the store?
Well you just stated yourself that you've only seen 2 extreme couponers check out. Working as a cashier I've seen my fair share of them. And it all depends on the coupon. Not all coupons are "anything that brand", and many coupons quite in fact are for the items ONLY pictured on the coupon themselves. Like I said, it's all in the fine print. Yes, a lot of cashiers don't realize what coupons do and do not work. From my experience, more cashiers will actually put through invalid coupons instead of pointing out to the customer that it won't work. Do you know these people actually stereotype the cashiers when they go to check out? More often than not they will go to young, male cashiers before an older woman/man because generally these employees don't care enough to check and will just put the coupons through.

Yes I know not all coupons aren't anything that brand but a lot of them say any gillette razor and most cashiers get all butthurt when it isn't the EXACT one in the picture. I know, though, all experiences are different. And yes I absolutely know they will stereotype because we do it. An old woman cashier is going to give you more grief and do everything in her power not to help you more times than a young male cashier would. Why would my gf go through more headache when she could go through less when she has prepared everything correctly, and is within all the rules?
