Any people here compete in UK?
I check UK PL fed records for the area, half of the BW categories don't have records, and the few that do have astoundingly low lifts, likely because of little to no competition.
I view recent results for 2013 meets in my area, most of the figures barely top my own, and to put this in perspective, I've been lifting half a year, and I'm still weak as ****.
I search http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/ for meets in England, all feds, from Dec 2013 to Dec 2014, not a single result. I search some random US state for meets over the next month, 4 results.
I try to check some of the very few suitable UK PL fed sites, half of them are down.
PL is mainly an underground sport, I knew that, but in this country, it seems as if it's been put in a grave. It's quite disappointing to see non-existent records, and results that can be beaten with little effort, finding very few meets, very few sites left alive. Anyone here compete in UK, and have any thoughts on this?
Any better ideas for finding meets in England? Any good sites dedicated to UK PL that're active?

GBPF is the biggest one, so if your natty go there. The records are low for some classes because the weight classes recently changed so records were reset. For untested GPC or BPU are your best bets.

Strong logic is very strong. Let me guess you must be a US marine to look for UK meets on PLWatch right? If you go to google.co.uk and do a search for "powerlifting UK" what do you get in the results? I can even see a forum that you can ask questions in. Bothered to contact any of the contacts on the powerlifting feds? No.
Some UK brahs even tell me there are a couple of faceboook groups, a couple of powerlifting/strongman forums, the IPF affiliate has over 1,000 members etc ....
Wait Mr Bolton's 410kg pull may be one of the heaviest from the floor in 2013.
Not bad for an "unpopular underground sport". The UK brahs are doing just fine.[/sarcasm]
