This is the workout one of my friends gave me:
Each time I do the exercise again I am supposed to go up by 5 pounds for the first 3 lifts of each workout day.
It's like: A/off/B/off/C/off/off then repeat.
Workout A
3x5 Squat
3x5 Bench Press
3x5 Rows
- Ab Work (3 sets)
Workout B
3x5 Squat
3x5 OHP
1x5 Deadlifts
- BB Curls
Workout C:
3x5 Squat
3x5 Bench Press
3x5 Rows
- Tricep Extensions
Should I do this?

it really depends on your goals
your friend just gave you a Starting Strength template and added ab work, curls, and tricep work (SS uses power cleans not rows)
its a solid novice program for someone interested in gaining strength and improving athletic performance. some other solid novice routines: StrongLifts, All Pro's Simple Beginner Routine, and IceCream Fitness 5x5Goals:
1.5 bw Bench
2.0+ bw Squat
2.5 bw Deadlift
Gain 20 lbs
