Twelve Oaks has a walking program that allows you to enter the mall an hour before it opens. You may meet some other walkers (maybe even a few miscers) that will help you pass the time and get you out of your self imposed prison. www.shoptwelveoaks.com/about_us#faq
So what's it going to take to get you outside? What do you need? Parka? Shoes? It's cold and snowy for the next week, that desolate heated mall isn't looking so bad.
It's easy to get caught up in all of the data. I use mine for calorie adjustments in myfitnesspal and sleep stats.
You're right, it is not a stop watch. It will never give you a dead on accurate number. It's a ****meter that extrapolates data based on your steps and frequency. I think it is your cadance that is skewing the results. It looks like you take an extra long gate because of the tumors and your arm makes a wide swinging motion. On top of that your gate is broken every 15 steps while you turn around and due to your weight you are most likely slower than an average walking pace which is compounded by your longer stride lowering your steps per minute. I wonder what it would read if you walked in a continuous fashion vs. the stop and go of laps. Trust me when I say that all you need to do is go walking. I do find mine is always about 2 minutes off but close enough when I go for a 45 minute walk. It even records very active minutes when I mow the lawn. Don't think it's not made for you.

Bro I'm sure you mean well but it's too early for this. He has a massive tumor on his leg which is clearly visible & makes it hard for him to walk also he mentioned above he is still at a weight he is not comfortable with in a public setting.
I'm surprised the suggestion for him to go to public places was even bought up this early on with the exception of medical facilities which he plans to visit early next year.

I will continue working out for the rest of my life. I want to have a daily routine where I do at least SOME activity, and then some days where I have a lot of activity. If I always do that, I will stay healthy and happy.
Yes. It is one thing to workout and be a open book to a camera, and people who understand, its another to work out in the most public place in my city filled with people I know, while in this condition. I want to have a nice amount of improvement and reinvent myself before I make that plunge. It would feel so much better to confront people I know and have them say 'wow you lost a lot of weight!" rather than run into them and have them think how bad I let myself go. It would be a great reward for progress.Last edited by Wetbreasts; 12-19-2013 at 12:19 AM.

Just checkin in with ya WB brah . (Keep tryin to rep you but the system always wants me to spread it around more first.)
I'm all psyched up more about us getting shredded in 2014 than I am about the commercialism of Christmas itself. Don't overdo it food wise on Xmas day brah. I'll be having turkey and nutritious foods . I might eat a lot of the good food but I'm gonna give the non nutritional crap a miss and I'll stop when I'm
Full. There's never a reason to be a glutton. There's been a box of chocolates on my coffee table for a month and I haven't even bothered to look inside. We got different priorities when we live life with goals, purpose and meaning. nomsayin brah?Latest Infractions Received (1 point(s) total) 03-05-2014 09:43 PM

Iron is the least complicated thing in my life. The weight doesn't talk back to me, it just is. And I can either lift it or I cant. If I cant, someday I will!

Keep up the good work man, It's good to see that you're setting yourself realistic expectations and goals, even though a few people in this thread don't seem to appreciate that. This will be the biggest marathon you ever undertake in your life but It'll be the most satisfying at the end!
