Just beat Killzone Shadowfall last night. Game was kind of short... probably took me a total of 5 hours over a few days. It was a very beatiful game. You can tell they made this basically as a tech demo to show the different capabilities of the PS4 and new controller.
Multiplayer is fun, but I think it would have been more fun if you could control your owl same way you do in the campaign.

Hey all, I want to get a game that my GF can play with me. It seems like Knack and LEGO Marvel Super Heroes are my only two options. Is this correct? If so, any recommendations. LEGO game is actually rated 5 stars on Amazon.

Use All Your Current Gen Controllers on Next Gen with CronusMax, Even Keyboard and Mouse
Sony and Microsoft have spent millions of dollars on developing their next-gen controllers to suit a range of game genres. This is all fine and dandy for game genres that were born on Sony and Microsoft consoles, but what about genres that pre-date PlayStation and Xbox?
The fighting game genre was born in arcades, with a control scheme prominently centered around a stick with 4 to 6 face buttons. We haven't seen a console launch with a controller using that button layout since the Sega Saturn. Thankfully, over the years there have been companies producing fightsticks for consoles that brings the arcade feel home, the biggest being Mad Catz.
As I previously reported, next-gen consoles have launched... and it has been pretty rough for stick players. Sony has officially said that PS3 fightsticks would work on PS4 if the developers chose to add that feature. Injustice: Gods Among Us is currently the only fighting game on PS4, and has been confirmed as incompatible with every fightstick on the market... with even MarkMan from Mad Catz saying PS4 was not compatible with PS3 sticks. The Xbox One doesn't fare much better, with no 360 controller support and a wallet draining $200 Killer Instinct Arcade FightStick Tournament Edition 2 as the only option available on that platform.
Similarly, the FPS genre originated on PC with a keyboard and mouse layout. Games like Halo made significant strides towards assisted aiming using a less accurate analog stick, but there are still many purists out there that prefer mouse aiming.
Were next-gen consoles just so space-age-high-tech that our mere "last-gen" tinker toy controllers couldn't communicate with them? The Rosetta Stone has been found; I give you the CronusMax.
PS4 controller on Xbox One, 360 controller on PS4, WiiU Classic Controller on Xbox One, PS4 on 360, even keyboard and mouse on Xbox One... it's an orgy of control options. The best part is the cost is about the same as a new game.
Being a new product, it is hard to say at the moment just how well this device works. Similar converters in the past have suffered from input lag. Also, if this is really a scheme by Sony and Microsoft to make you buy new peripherals, they could possibly update their consoles to block this device. Sony has blocked an adaptor that let you play with 360 controllers on PS3 in the past.
Still, this brings up a pretty big point. If an adaptor like this was made less than a month after these consoles released, it wasn't that difficult to make. Sony and Microsoft could have easily had legacy support for older devices... they simply chose not to.

BF4 news ( strong list is strong )
Battlefield 4: DICE’s “Top Issues Tracker” now live, lists down the main issues on every platform
It’s no secret by now that Battlefield 4 hasn’t been the smoothest of launches when it comes to games. While it’s been well over a month since its release, the game is still plagued by bugs and other technical issues for every platform it’s on.
Now, game developer DICE has posted a “Top Issues Tracker” on the official Battlelog forums where it shows the players the list of issues the game has on every platform and what they’re aiming to fix next.
According to DICE developer trydling, “this Battlefield 4 tracker will give you the latest updates in regards to some of the top issues we are going to fix and fan feedback we’re implementing in the game. We always work with trackers for our games internally which enables us to track and fix bugs as quickly as possible. We’ve never made it external before, but this seems like a great way to keep you constantly updated on how we’re progressing. ”
Also, before you start reading the rather long list, DICE has said that this is not a comprehensive list and that they’re working on smaller fixes, too.
Each issue has three statuses, which are explained below, and DICE states they’re committed to “fixing all issues in this tracker (and more).”
Statuses explained
INVESTIGATING means we are aware of a specific issue and working to reproduce it. Often, getting a solid reproduction is what actually allows us to eliminate a bug in the end.
FIXING means that we have been able to reproduce an issue and are working on a fix. This might be a simple line of code or a larger task. Once we have the solution, we code, test and get it live. An issue with the label FIXING is on its way to being resolved.
FIX LIVE means that we have fixed the issue in a patch that has already gone live. For example, we had a bug that accounted for a quarter of all crashes on PS4. That issue was fixed in the latest PS4 game update that went live Dec 5. Many other issues are already addressed.

BF4 news
DICE and EA Release the 15th Update For Battlefield 4
When you see the release of the 15th patch for a game in one month, even if you haven’t played it its no brainer to conclude that Battlefield 4 has been released unfinished. A new 888 MB patch has come out today for servers and PC and addresses some of the issues that has been troubling players.
However, although the fixes address stability issues, there aren’t many big improvements to the game overall (like hit detection etc). Whatever the case may be its nice to see DICE putting effort in eliminating at least some of the problems.
In the light of the previous patches we hope this patch comes bug free, and will not make this game even worse.
R15 Server Update Notes
-Various server side crash fixes, including the top seen crashes on R14
-Activated the reservedSlotsList.aggressiveJoin command that enables VIP players and server administrators directly joining full servers
-Client patch compatibility to make servers compatible with the Dec 09 client update
Dec 9 PC Game Update Notes (888.53 MB)
-Fixed one of the most frequently occurring client crashes
-Fixed broken collision on containers with open doors. The bug previously made grenades bounce back even though the doors were open.
-Fixed a bug in Defuse mode where defenders could win the round by killing all the attackers without disarming the bomb, if the bomb was disarmed in the previous round.
-Miscellaneous stability fixes further reducing the number of client crashes
-Fixed side gunner jitter when aiming in attack boats & transport helicopters
-Fixed some instances of frame rate drops when shooting at large Levolution objects after they have been destroyed (like the radar dish on Rogue Transmission)
-Fixed broken aiming for passengers on the China Rising dirt bike
-Fixed a bug where the sound when capturing a flag was not playing correctly
-Removed a bug that would double save during MP round transition and SP level transition. This fix will reduce the occurrence of corrupted save files.
The changelog looks promising and since they have stopped working on future projects and DLC’s until the game bugs have been ironed out, giving DICE more time to work on the problems related to the game. There has been mentions of other problems being faced by some BF4 players after applying the lastest patch the game has started crashing.

BF4 news ( and the hits just keep on coming, lol )
Law Firm Investigates Electronic Arts on Battlefield 4 About Compliance with Federal Securities Laws
Law Firm Holzer Holzer & Fistel sent a press release announcing an investigation on statements issued by Electronic Arts and some of its executives between July 24th, 2013 and December 4th, 2013 about the development and sales Battlefield 4 and the game’s impact on the company’s revenue and future projects.
Apparently the investigation aims to uncover possible lack of compliance of said statements with Federal Securities laws.
While no specific information was provided on what the statements under investigation actually said, or on what laws may have been broken, the firm encouraged investors that purchased EA stock during the period mentioned and suffered losses on that investment to contact them.
The most probable reason behind the investigation is that EA’s enthusiastic statements on Battlefield 4 may have made its stock look more tempting for investors compared to its realistic value, which can be ground for a lawsuit or worse. Of course this is just my personal speculation, so take it with a grain of salt, as we can’t draw any conclusion until any official results are announced.

PS4 news
PS4 is the "leading system of this generation" - DFC
DFC Intelligence notes that Sony's 2.1m sold is the best first two weeks of any console launch in history
The PlayStation 4 has been off to a fantastic start, selling over 2.1 million consoles across the globe. While Sony has noted that it's the best start for a PlayStation system in the history of Sony Computer Entertainment, what some people may not be aware of is that it's also the best start for any game console in history, DFC Intelligence noted today.
The research firm said that the 2.1 million units sold in the system's first two weeks on sale (first in North America and then in Europe) places it above Nintendo's Wii, which sold 1.6 million units in its first two weeks (in Japan and North America) and Sony's own PS2, which sold 1.4 million units in Japan back in March 2000.
Microsoft's Xbox One sold over 1 million units in its first two weeks, but the red-hot start for the PS4 only reinforces DFC's forecast that Sony's new console will be "the leading system of this generation." DFC agreed with SCE boss Andrew House that PS4 could outsell the PS3, but it's doubtful PS4 will approach the mighty sales of the PS2.
"The initial success of the PlayStation 4 bodes well for its future. The PlayStation 2 and Wii went on to be the best selling console systems ever. DFC Intelligence does not believe that the PlayStation 4 will surpass those systems but reiterates its forecast that the PS4 will be the number one system of this generation," the firm said.
DFC also commented that Xbox One may be slightly more supply constrained: "The Xbox One has been difficult to find although from all indications DFC believes Microsoft did not ship as many units as the PlayStation 4."
