I'm going to MEPS next week, brahs. I've got a list of about 20 AFSCs that I wouldn't mind getting, tbh. Gonna list as many as I can and try to get a fast ship date.

Anyone in here ever go E to O?
I'd really like to see if it's something I'd like to do, however, finding anyone with any sort of know-how or willingness to help is proving to be difficult.Panthers. Based Newton.

Tell everyone you are going to be a pilot. It seems like everyone assumes it anyways.

Just got back from meeting. Was nervous as phuk for some reason. Shaky hand and leg. But she made me take some test to see if airforce should even waste their time on me. Passed with a 46. So i can further progress. Not sure if 46 is all that good, she didn't know either. Just knew it passed.
Also found out I weigh 190lbs. Told her I was 170 on the phone lolLast edited by Sullivan0930; 11-19-2013 at 10:38 AM.

If the 46 is good enough for your recruiter, then that's all that matters. Your weight meets the standard anyway so you have nothing to worry about there.

I had a meeting today with the recruiters + other DEP'rs.
1. I have my job list set as only those jobs I listed earlier, intel jobs + contracting. My recruiter is pretty much trying to convince me to go open general to get an intel job. I DO NOT want to do this because of the chance that I don't get an intel job and get stuck with some job I hate. He thinks I'll be good to go since I got a 90 general, but I still think that's bs. Thoughts? (There are 4 intel jobs on my list) I'm smart enough to know that he doesn't give a crap, since he's leaving and once I'm in, he's done with me. (today is his last day working at the office)
2. My brother got DQ'd because he had eczema once. I asked if there was anything he could do, like going to the doctor and getting a note saying it's cleared up and/or going to our congressman. My recruiter said he will contact someone about it, but I have a bad feeling about that. Any info/thoughts?
Thanks. I trust you guys on here more than my recruiter, sucks.

He explained that usually only 1 intel job pops up a month, out of ~300. Not sure how true those stats are.
I would rather not join the Air Force if I couldn't get a job on that list.
I would probably wait a whole year or two if I had to to get an intel/contracting job than go open general and only have an 80% chance of getting an intel job.

I had to go to MEPS in January and it was a totally difference experience, much more strict back then and the day was much more drawn-out. A lot of the staff was new this time around, so maybe that's it. But this Army guy was like a 25 year vet or something and just volunteers his time to run the USO there. Nice guy.

Hi 2Gainz,
Visit this thread for some time line info on going from E to O. Also, check out Air Force OTS in general (especially the AD forum) for any questions you might have.
Good luck!Misc Zombie Survival squad, SAAT, Pilot
