The statistic doesn't even matter because over 90% of defensive uses of firearms don't include firing a shot. Nobody called her on that though. That makes me as mad as her bringing up some Brady Campaign wannabe's bull statistics. Gun owners better get informed and speak up or people like that will keep getting away with saying stupid sh!t.

At another point he said, step out on the balcony and fire off a couple of shots in the air. The theory is that people will call the cops and they can come save you with their guns.
Where I live, they would just think you were disposing of a coyote or getting an early start on deer season.Back In the Driver Seat with ErgoDrive

I'm in on this crew, too. My wife doesn't buy much for herself, she talked about buying some new ear buds for like 6 months before I made her go buy them. And she's the one who works all the overtime she can, so it gets weird when I'm the one spending a bunch of money.

Been looking at Vepr's chambered in 7.62x54r today. Hard to walk around with a boner I must say. Someday it'll be my turn to own one or a nice Dragonov.

That was what I was thinking of, just walk right out on the balcony and blast off a couple shots.

Hard to wait for PSA's Black Friday deals. I'm hoping for Moe rifle kits to be on sale again, or at least some pistol parts.
I've got a month off of work at the end of December into January, would be a good time to build a gun or two in between household projects that I need to get done."If there must be trouble let it be in my day, that my child may have peace." -Thomas Paine

I was so close to getting one of those Romanian RPKs this weekend to flip in 2014/2016. But I'd rather spend my denarii on more gear for myself.
Does not compute.

Almost rolled my Ranger.
On ramp was curved, dark out, and head lights suck. Went to around the curve and there was a guy walking across the on ramp like it's cool. Turned the wheel and braked, back wheels hit gravel or something on the road. Truck turned sideways and went up on two wheels. So close to flipping but it dropped back down and Homeless Bob took off into the dark.
Made my heart stop for a second.

Mind = blown
Ammunition I have acquired in the last 4 months. Roughly August 4th through today (Nov 4).
I can't believe I have acquired this much, and yet right now I am obsessed with getting more. I've never acquired anywhere near this much in such a short period of time before. This is completely unprecedented.
Remembering how ammo was in the middle of the damn ****ing panic has me stuck on buyammobuyammobuyammo

Just a little food for thought for the libs out here who think the police will come to save them in an emergency . . .
http://www.denverpost.com/breakingne...nse-times-this
Denver police response times have increased sharply over the past year, jumping by an average of more than a minute in even the most urgent incidents, police department data show. The slowing response came despite a more than 11 percent drop in the number of citizen calls for police service, from 280,150 between January and October of 2012 to 248,594 during the same period this year.
Average response to "lower priority" calls — such as car theft reports, burglar alarms and assaults that are no longer unfolding — climbed the most compared to last year. But callers reporting more pressing emergencies such as domestic violence, missing children, weapons offenses and child abuse waited more than a minute longer on average than they did a year ago.*MFC Elder Statesmen Cabinet Crew*
