Salam people!
Guys, the Qur'an cover-to-cover flowing translation and commentary from bayyinah.tv is excellent. It's basically a lecturer (nouman ali khan) going through the Qur'an one ayah at a time and discussing it. Very interesting. Also by subscribing you get a lot of stuff (e.g. full classical arabic course, full course on the linguistics of the Qur'an etc).

I was learning about this from the course I'm doing and I had to share it.
Indeed, Allah is not timid to present an example - that of a mosquito or what is smaller than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did Allah intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient, 2:26
Though it's not clear in the english translation, the disbelievers saying "What did Allah intend by this as an example?" is actually the disbeliever mocking the examples put forward in the Qur'an.
How often have we seen it? People mocking what the Qur'an says. The irony is is that they go ahead and PROVE this ayah. There are apparently whole papers written by orientalists on this stuff, I've read some. Garbage. Not putting forward legitimate arguments, but just making fun of the content. God further comments... "he misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient."
This also talks about the people who will purposely rip verses of the Qur'an out of their context to make Islam/ the Qur'an look bad. Through that action God USES the Qur'an to MISGUIDE them! It increases them in their hatred! Subhanallah.
So, Muslims and non-Muslims alike- when you're reading the Qur'an, approach it with the right attitude!Don't know what to put in my sig crew

My dad and brother came back from over seas . Picked them up from airport . Here's the good part.Originally Posted by kenanbrah
