Do girls really care about abs?

Title says it all. There's so much of an obsession with getting packs and having "hot abs" and stuff almost everywhere except BB.com, but I'm pretty skinny(don't have packs though) with a bit of stomach fat and you can't see the stomach fat when I'm wearing clothes. The only way I can imagine girls seeing that you actually have packs is when you take off your clothes, and by that time I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter if you have packs or not ;P

So is this like a fitness fad or do they actually care? And what muscles do you suppose they care about, if not abs?

And yes, women do.


Not 100% of girls or women do though.
Women are like men in the sense that they all individually like certain things. For example, I love booty. When my girl walks past me in her underwear I either will slap it, and/or kiss it. Cause... I love the booty.

Some men really love legs.
Some men (me included.. Ayyyeee) really love feet.
Some men really love breasts.


Just like women.
Some women really love arms.
Some women really love chest.
Some women really love abs.
Some women really love hands.

So yes. To answer your question girls/women do like abs. But some don't. But most women do actually prefer guys who are in shape and have nice bodies, just as we prefer the same thing.

Some people say lifting for girls is stupid.
I say, any motivation is good motivation. So hit it. If you want an awesome six pack to show off to the ladies, then do it. If you want huge arms to out-flex your bros, then get them. If you want to just be the biggest guy at your gym then do that too.

Whatever you want.

All the girls are different OP. I have two friends both 6'1 and approximately the same mass. One is around 16-18% bf and looks beefy with clothes. Other guy is sub 10% (with decent abs) and you can hardly tell he lifts with the shirts he wears. Some girls go for first guy, others go for second guy, it's a matter of opinion I guess.

1. The V that goes from your oliques to your dink, Women/girls go crazy for them
2. Abs/chest/biceps/big back/ nice glutes 3every woman and girl likes it
3. Meaty legs still like it

Having a trim waist suggests health in a mate, being a prime candidate for passing your genetics on to. From a purely instinctual level, having a flat stomach (no gut) and having abs literally make no difference. Also, once again from an instinctual level, a well developed posterior chain, and shoulders are areas that suggest strength, and are also subconsciously attractive to women.
