i agree with most of what Fleshlight said, except maybe i missed the part where the type of vehicle was mentioned? for the most part though what he says is right and should definitely take care of you. As for the previous mechanic being a really trustworthy guy, to charge you $100 for a code read (that takes 5 minutes) is a bit ridiculous if they cant even finish the diagnosis

ps- does anyone ever think/remember how great the CTR yellowbird ever was? (fyi, I think about this at least once a week cuz I'm a loser)... I mean, this POS was amazing in its pure power and its overtaking ability. Ya, its weight balance was awful (rearward), had too high steering pressure and only had 470bhp, but dat top speed and boost son... Faster than the F40 makes me hnngg for the 80s all over again.

PSS- Eric, where's that dingleberry I called out that claimed he had a Ruf gt2 back in 2009 or 2010? rorLast edited by thefleshlight; 09-09-2013 at 09:34 PM.

2006 Dodge Charger.
Yeah it sucks, but like I said the previous mechanic pointed me to the dealership since it was likely an electrical transmission issue. There is a local transmission shop around here though that I may check out in case this current local mechanic (different guy) tells me he can't fix it.
I'm thinking about just having them replace the speed sensor as that was what the code was for. $30 or so for the part is enough for me to gamble on, and if it's a deeper electrical issue, oh well.

Too bad it's a slushbox or I could take apart your POS tranny and fix it... Shame.
But with that said, a CEL of tranny is just some sort of sensor; if a gear or gate or some other nonsense was fukked up, you would feel it and hear it before you 'see' anything.Official Supp. Misc Beer Policeman

I honestly love my car, but the transmission is really terrible. I'm not a huge fan of manuals as I typically drive city traffic, but if it would stop this **** I'd switch in a heartbeat.

Just got back from my second inspection. Guy said the Right Front lower control arm is basically gone, balljoint has a ton of play in it which is why my car was pinging. But that's all he said it needs. Compared to the dealer who told me the swaybar links and left upper control arm were toast. $350 for the part, alignment, and sticker. Sold.
Also, he checked his database of repairs on the P2767 code and said the majority were just from faulty speed sensors. Hoping that's the cause.

Depends on the vehicle and how it feels. Most people do not run rear ARBs on the S chassis or very small ones whereas the front needs a bigger one.
I drive like an ass hole on the street so even with the optional ARBs on my truck, it's very nice and helps me with my increased ass holishness. It all comes down to preference and the OEM suspension design/geometry.Official Supp. Misc Beer Policeman

The seats we ordered actually didnt fit the brackets...so I made new brackets. We are finishing up all the wiring now, all we have left is the wiper switch and turn signals. So that'll get done tonight, than we can start on buttoning it up with the glass/seats/seals/etc
