Right now I have a six pack at somewhere around 8-10% body fat for around to years. However I can't seem to get the top 2 abs needed for an eight pack. It seems like no matter what exercise I do those those top two abs don't get worked. I can sort of see them but they are way smaller than the rest of my abs. I'm pretty sure its not a body fat problem because the rest of my abs including the lower ones are really well defined, which is where fat is normally stored. Does anyone know any way to specifically target those top to abs to get from a six to en eight pack.

everyone has a 6 pack...whether or not they can see it has to do w/ bodyfat percentage. An 8 pack involves an extra cut that is determined by genetics. if u dont believe that, then look at some pro BBs on contest day. Most of them are ~4% BF nd only few truly have 8 packs
Take ronnie and Jay cutler in the following pics. Count their abs. They certainly dont have the 8 pack.

In fact the 8 pack itself is pretty rare. I don't know anyone who has 8.Last edited by stallion16; 08-13-2006 at 10:24 PM.

Certain exercises work out certain portions of your rectus abdominis. Yes, a lot of it has to do with genetics, but most men have an eight pack. Sometimes, because of weak tendon divisions, the bottom row won't form. It just comes down to you having to find out what exercises to do to work that last row of your abs and if you start to see an 8 pack, great. If you don't, be happy with the six pack - most people are too lazy to get out there and work at getting one.
