do you think our ancestors had 3 square meals/day? they were hunter gatherers and could be straight up fasting for days or weeks or living on berries or any other low calorie food source until they could catch some larger game if times were hard. At your height at weight I bet you could do a 40 day water fast under medical supervision and your lean body mass loss would be minimal, srs

if you keep around trigger foods, there's a chance you will struggle, but if you go hardcore and wipe out any type of high processed/high cal concentrated foods, you are gonna help your chances a lot, that's why I have a problem with IIFIYM, when life gets in the way, and your motivation to reach your fitness goals is not high, if you have a plant strong diet with virtually no junk lifestyle to fall back on, is harder to go back to junk

I'm building neural adaptations since my strength is increasing at the gym, I may be building some marginal muscle since I came from a long lay off, and I'm burning fat at a relatively high clip, the main reason why I took a 2 week break is because I was having a hard time going to the gym due to sickness, once my body heals completely I will be back

Not sure if stupid or what
I never said I was going to starve myself for 90 days lol which is obviously not good OP clearly said it himself which is the reason this thread got so much attention lol
I said I was going to do harder work and maintaining a 2K cal diet. For a month proving that I would end up looking 10xs better than OP with a poor diet and workout for 90 days proving he wasted 90 days over nothing.
I'm still going to do it when I get back in town. Which is the reason I couldn't continue. All though I have been doing cardio and lifting when I can. I have proof on my cardio.
Point is OP still dun goofed lol kuntSon of Zeus, brother of Hercules, and father of aesthetics

well, you need to look back and see when things went wrong what were the triggers that made you fail, there's always a way to correct things, I really don't think keeping trigger foods around is the better way for long term success
addiction is lurking to snatch you back , like this nutty vegan explain, I love this guy we should take a page from vegan nut jobs, a little extreme , but awesome

Nothing went wrong...I just like to be able to eat chocolate or have pizza, like most people do. I don't want to ever not eat those foods again lol. Eating healthy is fine, but I like to be able to indulge every now and then too. That's why I 'fell off' . I don't need to go back and analyze / try again because I lost the weight and feel good about myself while still be able to enjoy the foods I like.
As for veganism, hell no.

as long as it works for you LONG TERM,I have no problem with it, there's a spectrum of genetic variation, in one extreme is the lean/skinny guy who lives on junk food and doesn't over eat, and on the other end is the morbidly obese bed-bound guy, they are both eating the same diet
most of us fall somewhere in between those two extremes, there are those who can get away with more, and others who are not that lucky
now if in the future, you gain the weight back, or are struggling again with overeating, you know exactly when you went wrong, but if you can pull it off, more power to you
and veganism not even once, but they do have some nice info/data and strategies about all these stuffstarvation or bust!

Yea, I was able to maintain just fine with junk in my diet for many years (as long as I stayed active)...only reason why I gained so much weight is due to a twin pregnancy.
Lol I was worried you were advocating veganism for a bit . Maybe I will check it out soon. 40 mins is looong tho.

At the end of the day I use this forum for support and to support others. Way to many haters not everyone (you) wants advice or suggestions. You are just logging for accountability and whichever other benefits it serves you besides attracting every troll on the BB forums lol.
Either way, I'm still in for the final result and at the end of the day when I was 240lbs @ 5'6" there was no extreme I wasn't willing to take to change I was that miserable.
This thread turned into like a really entertaining jerry springer episode."I Will Not Be Outworked. Period. Yes i can because I lost 20 lbs in one month and walk the walk on what I say I'm gonna do.Do I still look like chit? sure but I'm making something about it, I'm making changes that will affect positively my health and my body composition LONG TERM
if my method didn't work, I wouldn't have been 45 days with 99% compliance, I just got sidetracked by an acute illness and even though I'm right now on a pause, these 2 weeks wont be in vain because I'm learning how to manage more calories in a structured way, so this help me for the future when I start eating more on a regular basisstarvation or bust!

BS'ing 101. Deflect, change topic. Nice propaganda. You did fall off the wagon, admitted you went "full retard". Then, mysteriously you get "deathly sick" which isn't likely. About as likely as someone being deathly sick binging on spaghetti. Oh wait, people that are "deathly sick" lose their appetite. Interwebs are full of BS'ers and you are definitely well above the curve in that regard. Why anyone would give you credit for being truthful based on your posts is completely beyond me.

pasta is A LOT easier to pass than fibrous greens, do you realize that is my only solid meal per day? I drink a shake a couple hours after and that's it.I'm not deadly sick wtf but I still have general malaise from a bad cold/flu. Normal people would eat soups when they are very sick. Malaise, LMAO. Feeling under the weather is common in long stretches of semi-starvation.
I suppose the bold is supposed to be some nerdy counter attack of some sort and to confuse readers. Nice shot, sir. No idea wtf it's supposed to mean, but nice shot anyway.
BTW. Your nutritional profile is subpar. Throwing in semi-starvation in addition, perhaps that is why you got sick ;-).

"hows that junk food you eat on the daily basis is working out 4 ya, good luck with your colon cancer tumor and diabetes goals for life , lets see how much you can hold the IIFYM nonsense before you get fat again"
You said it is hard getting down one meal a day on a VLCD; if you don't think that is delusional...
No such thing as junk foods.
Colon cancer, Tumors, diabetes? Where is the connection between those and moderately eating processed foods and refined sugar?
Nonsense? You mean eating like every non-dieter who is at a healthy body weight?
You wish those diseases on me and then say I'm gonna get fat again? How dark is your heart? And if anyone is gonna get fat again, you're crazy to think it would be me. You WILL eat normal, high calorie, processed foods, again; however will you eat them responsibly when you have no experience at doing so? I've done it for a year and a half; it's old hat for me.
By the way, for starving yourself and laying the groundwork for a future eating disorder, you really aren't doing that well and losing that much weight :-/Started 2012 at over 410lbs (that was as high as my scale went) and I ended the year at 260lbs.

^^^^^^
eating junk food will mess your health long term, high incidence of cancer, diabetes and heart disease are all related to modern western diet, I bet you do keto too, which is horrible with all the saturated fat, clogging your arteries, I don't wish you any harm, but you are delusional if you think eating junk is not gonna have an impact on your health long term, and you are delusional if you think that you gonna escape the iron grip of food addiction considering you morbidly obese past history, 99% chance that you will get fat again eating junk on the regular basis, if you would had been a lean/skinny guy you would be ok(body composition wise) but in your case, you are a fat ticking bomb waiting to blow upstarvation or bust!

What is junk food? Where are the studies that show moderate consumption of those foods has those health risks?
I don't do keto.
Food addiction? I simply ate too many calories; that's why I became obese.
There is a 99% chance that any fat person will get fat again; I'd give myself less of a chance because I, like every other thin person does, know how to eat any food while maintaining a good body weight. When you get done, you will only be left with two modes of eating: sinner and saint. Since you've been a saint for so long, your body will look to pursue sin - at full force - once again. You won't know how to responsibly eat at McDonald's and if/when you ever go back to it, chances are you'll eat it how you did when you were at your heaviest and you will soon return to your heaviest weight.
Its funny you say that to me, someone who has lived like a thin person for over a year and a half when you havent spent a day as one; make no mistake about it, you're living like an immature fat person who is trying to starve themselves thin -- you aren't living like a thin person, as no thin person eats the way you are eating.Started 2012 at over 410lbs (that was as high as my scale went) and I ended the year at 260lbs.
