i have no idea how you PSMF so much. i tried. lasted 5 days. granted i started at possibly the worst time for me. started on a friday a couple of weeks ago, went to the gym in the morning, all was good. came home, nursing home where my grandpa was called and said he wasn't doing too well (95 years old). without going into too much detail, i spent all of friday, saturday, and sunday at the nursing home. monday comes and i have to drive an hour to meet my boss and fill out some papers for the new job. called my mom on the way home to see how things were going, no changes. i walk in the door, maybe 45 minutes later, got the call that grandpa passed. granted we all knew it was coming, and so did he for that matter, so it wasn't a big shocker. sad, but ya know how it goes.
on top of that, i was officially starting my new job that week. lets just say i was a busy little beaver. i don't think ive ever been so drained, mentally and physically. needless to say, there was so word "diet" in my vocabulary that week.
seeing the whole "process" certainly puts everything else into perspective...
anyways, just venting. thanks for readingFebruary 2009 - 295lbs - never again...

lol @ posting by ********, and welcome to the digital age India
I've been asked a few times if I sing...do I have a sing-song voice? Have a background in music and would often sing my instrument's part when reading a piece to get a feel for it, but that's the extent of my singing experience lol. I can sing in tune, but it's definitely not special.

Oh wow, that definitely sounds like a bad time to psmf . I'm sorry to hear about your Grandpa. It's a tough thing to deal with even when you're expecting it. Sounds like he has an amazingly loving family that you guys took the time out to spend his last days with him. Went through a similar situation a few years ago so I understand where you are coming from.
How are you feeling now mentally and physically? How do you like the new job? Glad you were able to finally get something, know you were looking for quite a while.
Which PSMF were you doing? Honestly, I don't think I'll ever do a 10-12 day psmf again. I've been dieting 5 days and already had a cheat meal and am having a refeed tomorrow. Just knowing that I can have food I enjoy every few days gives me something to look forward to and makes the diet much more bearable.

I've seen this at the gym also.
There are literally 100 cardio machines at Planet fitness & I see these guys pick the one right next to the woman or the one's who think they are sneaky pic the one two over.
THERE ARE 6 PEOPLE IN THE WHOLE GYM!!!
Can they be any more obvious? LOL!

What's funny is they really think we don't notice.
Related story: I lift in the women's section (it's super tiny) and this guy was trying to lift right on the edge of the sections...think he was wanting me to 'mire his arms. They were big but idgaf...as if I've never seen big arms before -.-. My man said he noticed the guy kept trying to make eye contact but I ignored the chit out of him so didn't pay any mind. Don't like any distractions while I'm lifting. At the end of my workout I went to the paper towel dispenser that's on the edge of the sections...as soon as the guy realized I was moving toward it he all of a sudden happened to be done with his curls and despite not having walked to the paper towel dispenser once, he quickly approached it. I timed it perfectly. Depressed the lever and got my paper towel and did a rear march in the same instant right in his face just as he arrived to it. Bish please.
this is a rear march for those who don't know (not the gay navy rear march neither trollface.jpg): http://youtu.be/-T86Zy1ont8

i told you about that guy who always breaks eye contact with me as if to say, "girl, please, i ain't lookin' atchoo..." i've now caught him looking up at me with puppy dog eyes multiple times when i'm on the elliptical.
edit: this makes one too many "guys are looking at me" stories on one page, lol. i should delete this but i won't. :P
there's a girl who does slo-mo db deadlifts in short-shorts in the middle of all the guys. i was irritated when i saw a guy pull out his phone to record her in stealth mode, but i told myself i can't care more than she does. she can't possibly give a fak. she knows what she's doing.start where you are

what is funny is the thigh abductor machines are on the back wall & I have to walk past them to get to the drinking fountain & a few times when a woman is on them I catch them checking me out in the mirrors as I get a drink.
Do women even peripheral?
Do women even know they are staring?
It'll be tough because I have two mandatory luncheons this week.
going to skip the carbs & stick to meat & veggies.
Sat thru Tues. it's just me and the kids.
It was supposed to be the family portion of the trip but everyone Else's schedule got screwed up & they need someone to check in.
Tuesday I invited my parents out for a cook out & to take the kids home.
Tuesday night till Sunday the guys show up & weather permitting we spend our days floating in the lake drinking beers and working on our tans. In the evenings we relax by the fire or play cards. drinking beers.
Epic water weight gain will be had.

thanks cap where to begin...well, he was a WWII vet and he was in japan, so there's tons of stories about that. just to give you a jist of what kind of man he was, he was your typical, stubborn german, but funny as hell. he always got his way right up until the end.
alright, here's a funny story. again some background: we kept him home and took care him as long as possible until it just got to be too much. he was in the nursing home for about 5 years, so maybe 7 years ago, we set him up with a table, chair, and a bowl of peanuts(this comes into play in a minute) in the front yard in a nice, shady spot. he would stay out there and read the newspaper for hours. he's reading the paper and munching on the peanuts, when along comes mr. squirrel. grandpa throws him a peanut, squirrel eats peanut, throws him another one, etc, etc. he comes another squirrel. now there's two. this story repeats until there are no less than ten furry creatures surrounding my grandfather. we all thought he was going to get jumped by the squirrelian brotherhood.
thanks ladyj it was terrible timing for that, no question. we try, you couldn't help but love him. he was just too funny. anything he did or said was just funny. this may sound terrible, but we're all glad he's passed on now. for the last year he was simply miserable. even throughout all of this he never lost his humor and all of the staff at the nursing home loved him.
i feel fine now. nothing a little rest and food couldn't fix. obviously, i think about grandpa a lot, but that's natural.
the job is great. for the most part, i'm on my own throughout the day going from store to store doing my thing. if the boss needs me, he calls me. if not, i get left alone. he knows i can handle myself. matter of fact, i was hired for part-time and to go out on the weekends, which i was fine with. he quickly realized i was more valuable than that, so i got more hours, and he hired a lackey simply to cover weekends, so i have them off, unless there's some emergency, of course. before this, i was unemployed since early november. don't get wrong, the time off was nice and i got bunch of stuff done around the house, but no income sucks.
PSMF was supposed to be a 14 day run. no cheats or refeeds. i may give it another go when everything calms down, but until then, back to normal old cutting for a while. i just want to get back to where i was in my avi. not really lean by any standards, but i have a bit more mass now and moobs are gone, so i want to see what happens.
on that note, you've made amazing progress, which is the reason i decided to even try it, so thanks!Last edited by Hummina; 06-25-2013 at 07:31 AM. Reason: too many typos because i'm a moron!

waste of money sadly.
I buy a bag of like 80 nuggers for 6 dollars. 6 nuggers are 360 calories/18g protein. There are bigger nuggers, not your traditional mini-nugger.
I feel so guilty eating fast food due to cost to calorie ratio, but i cant say no to three mc doubles. 3 bucks for 1170 cals and 69g protein, sign me up. The nuggers are about 980 cals i believe, and like 50g protein. Filling though. That dipping sauce is what gets you though...There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?

Doesn't sound terrible, it's a relief to know that they are no longer suffering. You seem like a strong man, I'm sure that you could do psmf eventually under better circumstances. I think I'm going to try and make that deep dish chicago pizza you shared a while back as soon as this cut is over lol.
And when you can get around to it, could you a post a towel pic for the ladies to 'mire? Ty
hate when that happens >.<
am now awared on dictaphone.

and this is why i befriended you. there weren't many females in here when i joined your thread and it felt like everything i said was a form of attention whoring. i tried to keep quiet as a mouse...
when i realized you had some narcissistic tendencies (), i knew i could speak openly with you in private about the reaction i was getting to my improving looks and still preserve my humble exterior. :P

Haha
I know my looks are improving.
I know I look good.
At least compared to the other guys my age.
Yet, i'm still socially awkward around really pretty girls. LOL!
At least, i've figured out they are just as awkward around me.
Going out & not really drinking = you notice a lot of things you never did when buzzed.
