Latest bicep rupture recovery progress pic . . . think things are moving in the right direction. I am restricted to light/moderate weights when working that arm directly and not cleared to lift heavy on that arm or with movements involving that arm til Sept/Oct. So I think the bicep is responding, but will be a few months before I can really expect much growth there. Overall I think the arm is filling back in pretty well.

Straight talk - the muscle is really getting there, but that skin has got to go. Any possibilities on it?
I don't lift weights, I flex under duress.

You're making definite progress - great work. Continue to take it nice and slow though...
Wow, you've lean out amazingly well. It's obvious since you have visible abs. But as mentioned earlier the loose skin is the problem. Have you looked into surgery? It's almost like you deserve it since you worked you're ass off to get fit!

Thanks guys. I've looked into surgery - I was denied by my health insurance (eye roll) and quoted US$17,000 for both the pecs and the stomach.
Truthfully though - it's not that great to look at, right? I went as lean as I could last summer/fall to try and tighten things up...
...and I had kids pointing at me when at the beach. So I embarked on a 'get bigger' program since then. I certainly *feel* much bigger - the shirts are very tight in the arms and shoulders while my waist has only grown a tiny bit. Since getting lean didn't fix things I was hoping that bulking up would make it a little less frightening.
I don't have $17k but I did manage to wipe out the last of my debt this summer and I can finally start thinking about saving for surgery. That's a loooong ways off though.330->210. Drop me a PM if you're just getting started and want some advice.
Do what you love and you'll never workout a day in your life.

Feeling pretty good about my legs today, after week in which I increased my squats and deadlifts by 10 lbs each. It's amazing how those little 5 lb plates feel as light as feathers when you're putting them on the bar, but man... I was WIPED out after those workouts, and still feel a little shaky in the legs this morning.
Psyched for my chest workout in a couple of hours, and then 3 days off to meet up with some old college friends.
It seems like my quads aren't quite as ripped as they were last year before I started doing squats, but they're 1/2" bigger now, while my body weight is the same. Finally broke 15" on the calves, so they are now officially bigger than my arms.

Moldy, I've lost a lot of fat too and have loose skin issues...the longer you are leaner the more it will tighten up.-to an extent
I was quoted about the same amount as you $14k...then I saw an ad for laser tightening (much cheaper). Talked to my Dr. about it and turns out he has the same device in his office and will do "no guarantee treatments" for free.
Check out the laser treatments and let me know what you think in a PM.
Hope is not all lost.

I'm open to any suggestions and have a difficult time accepting limitations without an honest effort on my part, you can count on that!
