    Full body or splits?

So im finally ready to start putting on some size...My goal before this was to just gain strength because i was a mid distance runner and gaining size isn't a good thing. Anyways should i stick to JB's 5x5 routine or should i do a split? Which is more optimal? I guess I'm a beginner because im not that big but i did a lot of strength training (5x5) and higher rep training (10+ reps low rest) for about 6 months.
Please chime in...Full body or upper lower split? By the way strength is still a big goal for me. I would like to put on size and continue increasing strength.
    Current stats: 255lb Squat - 300lb Deadlift - 140Lb Bench - 165lb Power Clean

They're equivalent, it all comes down to personal preference. I personally like upper/lower (KOHT) because I can fit in accessory movements that I don't have time for on a fullbody.

Its summer time so time isn't a big problem for me.
I was reading about protein synthesis for natural trainees and it makes sense to train every body part every 48 hours because even when you have a ton of volume its no use because the first 3-5 sets are really what do it. Plus i can always add in biceps and inconsequential parts in randomly.
The routine im going to be using also has a ton of volume for a full body routine; Jason's full body routine.

If you don't have time for a full body, I guess a pull/push/legs is superior.

I find myself in the same 1.5-2 hours on this routine. :|
