the american health-care system is the result of gov't legislation dictating the market. It has been completely taken over by corporations wooing politicians. medical offices and hospitals that don't take insurance are a fraction of the cost and better quality. I refuse to be taxed for breathing.

You medical knowledge is astounding. I mean they should fire everyone and have you call all the shots. You get a xray first to ensure that there is no bone damage. MRI is not super great at bone detail.
BRB everyone is a medical expert in todays world
BRB going to the doctor with a diagnosis already
BRB suing doctor because he listened to you
Also on the insurance note, this facility is very interesting. They post prices online. It is a physician owned and operated facility.

06-01-2013, 01:20 PM #98we are all from nothing to something and then back in to nothing when we cease to be, the middle ground is that tiny something we call life which is just a sunset setting in, yet we chose to see it like a sand clock dragging on for what feels like a thousand eternities, what makes the difference is how we live that tiny middle of shifts, rejoice and embrace the most of it for the short lived moment often goes by wasted .-

healthcare should be a basic human right..like clean water. its just something we need. theres 323189397187 diseases that ail the human body, there isnt one of us whos free of all of them. im all for capitalism, im all for hard work and makin a ton of money to live the best life u possibly can. im all for whoever gets to the mountain top first gets the glory. but healthcare should be excluded from this and made into a basic fundamental structure for all people, no matter what financial status they are. i have no problem with the goverment taking 8 bucks out of my paycheak to help someone with cancer, if they didnt take it out i would give it, money well spent imo.

what if it was 25% of your paycheck
what if the govt controlled the healthcare and decided you didn't need some test you wanted
what if they decided you could wait a month to have a surgery
In todays system you can have treatment almost immediately. Granted it is expensive. Do not think for one minute it is the doctors making the money though. It is everyone else in healthcare srs.Misc Firearms Crew

It's the insurance companies that dictate the price.
It's not a "free" system, if it were a "free" system, doctor joe johnson down the street could underwrite a major hospital and lower the costs country wide. Everyone would go to the cheaper doctor. That's the way it use to be.
You remove the ability to compare and challenged each other's prices and the system is automatically broken.
I don't believe the OPs article/post either, no one is getting rich my arse, the insurance companies are raking it any. You go to any town, and dumpy town at that and the nicest place around is always the hospital.★★★ A State of Trance Crew ★★★

my grandparents both received full-scale cancer treatment and therapy for "free"
i visit the doctor whenever i want to and i get full mental health benefits (counseling, therapy, drugs) -- all for "free."
how?
because there's a gross misconception about american health care among non-americans. it seems almost like they want us to have the most horrendous health care system that they can contrive in their heads

You seeing it all of the time doesn't make it the "norm." Do you know how small of a portion of poor people actually have cars, let alone rims? Also, it's not as easy to get public housing or food stamps as people seem to think. For one, public housing 99% of the time is only given to single women with kids or the elderly.
