I think the xbox looks pretty cool, but the whole have to check in every 24 hours is retarded. As for being less powerful, they don't even know how to make games that completely utalize all the hardware capabilites. The publishers also rush the developers to get games out within a time frame, so the consoles full potential isn't even realized. They can make the games and how they use the hardware efficient anyways, so it uses less RAM etc..

The whole cloud idea really isn't so bad if you think in terms of the future.

Just like Google Chromebooks are kind of a waste right now... I guarantee 5 years from now they will be the norm.

Soon internet will be everywhere, and either free or for very cheap. There have already been proposals to the FCC to put out free public internet in every city. And with LTE rolling out and 3/4G becoming secondary it isn't too far fetched anyone will be able to get wireless internet for free/cheap.

The cloud allows you to update games and software without needing updated hardware.

I don't play video games so I probably won't get either system, but it looks to me like Microsoft is trying to follow Google's lead in future proofing for the cloud.

Less powerful than PS4 - TRUE at the moment but they said with cloud they can power the system in the future and make more powerful and faster essentially making it like a PC and upgrading it through online.

Always-On internet connection (will "check in" with the internet every 24 hours to validate play) - FALSE. No need to lie to make the xbox look worse than the ps4 when it already is. There isn't ALWAYS ON connection. If your internet cuts off you can still watch movies and play games and listen to music. There is however a check online every 24 hours. So every day after 24 hours you have to go online once to validate it otherwise you can't play. It's not as bad as always on because if you get disconnected your fukd. But this way still screws you I suppose.

Mandatory Kinect - TRUE, but I don't care about this because I don't have to buy kinect, it comes free when you buy the xbox. If you had to buy it then it would be worse.

No used games- FALSE - There is used games. Again, don't lie, brah. The way they did it is, you have to pay a fee online to play second hand games on your console which apparently (not confirmed) is the same full retail price. Technically you can still play second hand game. Also they said you can sell your games online and buy second hand games online too but they won't go into detail just yet.


Eitherway, I'm most likely to buy PS4 first and then xbox one later just for exclusives. I can afford both, brah.

this, MS basically monopolizing everything around their console. No more Gamestop, have to pay MS to buy used game, pay for upgrades, new licensed headset jack so now all headset companies have to obey MS legalities and old headsets dont work, pay to play online, need internet connection to play video games at 100%.

i decided against MS when Xbox360 finally came out with Internet explorer app but has no video/flash capabilities. pos. Meanwhile PS3 had free online and you could watch videos through the internet browser the whole time.

Have always been Xbox fanboy but im finally done.
