Cottee's Diet Strawberry Jam --> great with CC - has like 4cal per 2 tsp
Ayum Chilli Sauce --> great hot taste no cal
Sweet Potato - great
Eggs of course
I dont mind the odd Diet Coke - is coke Zero a better option? also pepsi is much cheaper and since it aint tasting awesome anyways i can prolyl handle the inferior pepsi taste?
I get this low fat Parmesan Cheese which i love to use to add flavour to bland stuff - it is right next to the reg. stuff in Woolies
Turkey Mince if it is reduced
Chicken Mince if it is drastically reduced - expensive
that migth be just about all the stuff i eat"There's levels of retardation most people don't even know about"

Almonds and walnuts are yummy, but if you want to save money, get the flax seeds, 500g for about $3 can't be beat!

Almonds are just too perfect tho, i use an onion crusher, and smash them up, then throw them into a pan while im cooking diced chicken breast and it coats the meat and is delicious!
Also i use some Praise 100%fat free dressing on occassion to livin up some warm tuna salads i make (tuna, beans, almonds)
another tip if you like chilli sauce-
cook your diced chicken breast, throw some veggies of choice into the pan with it
pour on some Ayum Chilli Sauce (99%FF) then just before serving, throw in some CC - it kinda neutralises the spice and makes it creamy and delicious!
Wow, im getting hungry - good thing it is CC/PB/Jam time"There's levels of retardation most people don't even know about"

My shopping list
I try to shop for nutrient dense and satiating foods:
1. McCann's Steel Cut Rolled Oats ($7), these are much better than the instant as far as long lasting complex carbs, but they take forever to make. About 20 min over low heat, these cannot be microwaved!
2. Seakist Chunk White Tuna ($3.00), it's not as good as John West, but it's cheaper. Has anyone tried those Thor**** vacuum wrapped tuna steaks?
3. Low Fat Cottage Cheese ($2.50), I love cheese, but cottage keeps my cheese cravings at bay, while supplying you with lots of protein and relatively low cal and fat.
4. Almonds ($15.00), a bit dear in Australia, but if taken in moderate quantities (1.5oz a day), almonds can lower your bad LDL cholesterol, is a great source of vitamin E, and is a good source of fiber.
5. Avocado ($1ea), high in fat, but it's good fat.
6. Brocolli ($?), very dense and fibrous.
7. Minced Turkey ($5.00kg), but am on the lookout for minced Kanga. I've tried minced buffalo in the US and it's quite good, have a go if you have a chance!
8. Apple cider vinegar (?), I actually try to drink this stuff. It's supposed to break down fat, and is supposed to have a bunch of health benefits. If anyone knows diff, please let me know.
9. Lemons (?), for lemon water. It's better for me when tired of drinking reg water and feels cleansing.
10. Skim Milk ($3.00), for mixing various supps. Whoops, I forgot to add eggs ($2.00 doz).
Tell me if any of this is off to you guys.Last edited by MCMVIIX; 07-07-2006 at 05:21 AM.

hey MCM,
cool list - just wondering where you get the Steel Cut oats? Also, Lowan Rolled Oats are really tasty and are a fair bit cheaper if your interested - any nutritional divergencies are negligable from what i've read.
yea, almond prices suck - speshly when I eat like 60 a day! (i get like 35% fat so need them - and they do work out cheaper than PB and i cant bring myself to use an oil as a food source)"There's levels of retardation most people don't even know about"

Ok, much easier to list the good items since most of the things you find in supermarkets have all sorts rubbish added.
Good processed food:
-Pott's 100% rye sourdough bread
-Paramount canned red/pink salmon (wild alaskan = best)
-Nestle 99% fat free all natural yoghurt (low sugar high protein, like yoplait)
-Physical skim/low fat milk (high protein)
-Of natural cheeses (kraft is processed), Bega so light is relatively low fat
-Melrose almond/ cashew/ pistachio/ hazelnut etc. butters
-Cadbury nutbreak (good for your tastebuds! ok ok sorry, but for a cheat!)
All unprocessed foods - sweet potatoes, potatoes, veggies, fresh meat, seafood etc
