Probably because you don't read enough work by leading liberal thinkers brah srs. Any of them. What I posted is the position of liberal justice theory and any liberal would agree with that.
See? SteamedHams is a liberal. This is what liberals believe. I am not advocating or criticizing here brahs, I am explaining what the liberal position is. The viewpoints outlined in the OP's post are liberal viewpoints.RIP mainsqueeze530

So what's the conservative position then? Keep spending billions of dollars incarcerating nonviolent offenders (7% of federal inmates are serving time for violent crimes, btw), even though it does not rehabilitate anyone or deter future crime? I thought you people were supposed to be all about fiscal responsibility?

He expressed views which various miscers on the first page responded to with anger ("how is this liberalism") as if they were unfair caricatures. Once again, I am neither advocating nor criticizing, just educating, so stop arguing with me about which ideology is better.

Im not going to lie man I do think that the older brother probably convinced him to do it and h probably wouldnt have done it without him. That being said he made the choice to listen so he deserves what he gets but damnn man, I kind of feel bad for the kid in the way that I cant even imagine life being over for you for all intents and puposes at 19 years old. He probably wont be executed but will get multiple life sentences, he deserves it but damnn again I cant even imagine having to be in a supermax the rest of my life at 19.

All brothers have influence over their younger brothers, this is nothing new. Every person is responsible for themselves though, not anyone else. Still blows my mind that Obama assassinated that 16 year old American just because his father was a terrorist. Gotta give everyone due process, without it, our government is just a monarchy or dictatorship that gets to decide who lives and who dies.

I hope he suffers a slow and painful death, with as much torture as possible beforehand. I dont give a fuk about rehabilitating him so he can be part of society. He gave up his chance to be part of civilisation. I'm usually a calm person, but stories like this where innocent people (usually kids) have been needlessly maimed and killed just make my blood boil and bring out my vengeful side

he's 19 not 9. he made the choice to kill people and he deserves to be put to death. People sympathizing because he's young, decent looking normal kid are idiots.
