If you have a mix of female and male friends I don't think there is a problem. I think if you only have male friends and no female friends then that may be more unusual. You would probably think it a bit odd if a guy only had female friends too.

So, I recently joined a 24/7 gym. Much smaller than the prior gym I belonged to, but really cool. They have a bowl of fruit out for everyone to take their pick, everyday--just a subtle nice touch.

Just curious, anyone here belong to a 24/7 gym? The 'concept' is interesting, because so many people work different shifts, and gyms typically close (my old one used to) @ 10pm ...so, it's nice to be able to have a full gym at your disposal anytime you like.

Anywho...hope everyone is having a gr8 week? Hugs xxoo

The gym we own is a 24/7 gym. Thought about just switching it to certain hours, but I know several folks who like being able to come whenever they can, and now that the factory has reopened we have some that work there that can only come at the odd hours...so now I can't close it!LOL

I think for a lot of guys they see it as being a ton of competition. Let's be honest too, for an attractive girl who has let's just say 5 guy friends. There is a good chance at least 4 of them are trying at least mildly to get her in bed. There's also a good chance that she has had a drunken hookup with at least one of them that she refuses to acknowledge.

I would think cuz men don't wanna compete with other men for your attention. I mean would you be perfectly secure with a man who had a bunch of girl friends he caters to....I wouldnt...I would be pissed if these guys/girls call asking for favors or stupid stuff when we are supposed to be spending time together. Make me think I'm not priority or being taken seriously. But I guess it depends if you want to get in a serious relationship or not.

I think it depends how much stuff he does for others in this situation. My husband does favors for a mom and daughter in my neighborhood that we are friends with. They are both single so they do not have someone to do those things or the tools needed. My husband might install a light or put air in car tires. I actually want him to do things like this though. It shows he is a good person who wants to help others. If he refused to help others that shows a lack of character. If it were everyday it would be a problem but most people know boundaries.
