cut it off. foreskin looks disgusting and turns women off. plus it gets dirty and makes you more prone to infection. why would anyone want it left on?

that arguments irrelevant because no girl is ever not going to have sex with you because of your prepuces status
also the idea that you would take away from your own sexual pleasure to please a woman is laughable
and the idea that you would do that TO YOUR OWN CHILD WITHOUT HIS CONSENT is disgracefulThe best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president. You realize that you control your own destiny.

this debate reinforces my belief that humans are ****ing stupid. Can't believe that such a huge amount of people can be completely delusional and ignore the facts just because they want to justify their own genital mutilation

why would you want to introduce an unnecessary risk of death to your infant? SIDS and such already claim enough lives. Female genital mutilation is ilegal, why the fuk isnt it the same for men?BTC: 1AsxjNJ5719orEzChS93RvQJteJwHmmGRc

I'd cut him, for cultural reasons.
Plus every single chick I've been with has said that they would much rather a cut penis than an uncut one because the foreskin "freaks them out" or "looks ugly as sin"
No hate on cut brahs though, it's all personal opinionNot A Slacked Jawed *******

i seriously can't believe how ignorant all of you are being. are you going to leave your kid's abilical cord left on too? it's the same principle. its been proven that the foreskin helps transmit STDs and is in general dirty. there's no logical reason for it to be left on other than "lol it's how i was made!"

the AAP is retardedly biased and is run by people who are pro-circ, under the influence of the pro-circ camp.

Cultural Bias in the AAP’s 2012 Technical Report and Policy Statement on Male Circumcision
The American Academy of Pediatrics recently released its new Technical Report and Policy Statement on male circumcision, concluding that current evidence indicates that the health benefits of newborn male circumcision outweigh the risks. The technical report is based on the scrutiny of a large number of complex scientific articles. Therefore, while striving for objectivity, the conclusions drawn by the 8 task force members reflect what these individual physicians perceived as trustworthy evidence. Seen from the outside, cultural bias reflecting the normality of nontherapeutic male circumcision in the United States seems obvious, and the report’s conclusions are different from those reached by physicians in other parts of the Western world, including Europe, Canada, and Australia. In this commentary, a different view is presented by non–US-based physicians and representatives of general medical associations and societies for pediatrics, pediatric surgery, and pediatric urology in Northern Europe. To these authors, only 1 of the arguments put forward by the American Academy of Pediatrics has some theoretical relevance in relation to infant male circumcision; namely, the possible protection against urinary tract infections in infant boys, which can easily be treated with antibiotics without tissue loss. The other claimed health benefits, including protection against HIV/AIDS, genital herpes, genital warts, and penile cancer, are questionable, weak, and likely to have little public health relevance in a Western context, and they do not represent compelling reasons for surgery before boys are old enough to decide for themselves. The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president. You realize that you control your own destiny.

I can't believe the pro-circumcision results are so high. How could you do that to your son?
Ignoring the fact it's not exactly natural and can even be dangerous, circumcision is the worst well-intended decision a parent can make for their son.
For the record, my dad wanted me circumcised but my mum said there was no way in hell, and I'm extremely grateful for it.
edit; Hell, just don't do it and he can decide when he's older. Having a circumcision at 18 is a lot easier than undoing one.Last edited by radkeyo; 03-31-2013 at 06:15 PM.

You are part of the problem. The "aesthetic" argument is possibly the worst of them all. You don't seem to realize that what is aesthetically pleasing changes significantly depending on where you are in the world and the era you live in. In Europe, the uncut look is favoured. In America prior to about 1900, it was the same. The rate of circumcision is dropping; you haven't the slightest clue what will be considered aesthetically pleasing during your child's lifetime.
Besides, if a woman turned someone down based on their foreskin status they are a shallow, judgemental bitch and not worth your time anyway. When erect, an uncut penis doesn't look very different to a cut one, because the foreskin rolls back. If you're going to subject an infant to a surgical body modification to change such a minor thing, risking all the problems that come with it, then I must say I'd think considerably less of you as a person.
Please, show me the studies?
Also I believe you meant to say "lol it's tradition so keep mutilating"Chest wounds suck (when properly inflicted).

American doctors are culturally biased. Other countries doctors are not. Looking at evidence subjectively without an agenda (non american doctors) is what you should be doing. The evidence that the AAP used to to make that statement is weak or non-existant, and their conclusion disagrees with basically every other legitimate medical organization in the world.
Also, circumcision is more likely to result in sexual dysfunction. You retarded brah? The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president. You realize that you control your own destiny.
