Been stuck around 170 since the end of february. Should I increase my cals to around 2200?
Myfitnesspal says my maintenance is 2500. Even at the highest activity level its only 2600.
I stock shelves and pull pallets all night. So maybe my maintenance is higher and im eating too little?
Help please!!

It sounds like you might be eating too little, i think you would need to increase your cals to around 2700 - 2800 to compensate for your activity levels (gym and or work)
I am roughly the same height, but i am cutting atm at around 1800 calories, so to put it simply, you need to increase your calories and lift heavy

wait......so his scale has stalled, and your solution is for him to eat more??
Just so i'm clear.......he has stopped losing weight, so you think that by adding more energy (food) to his body, that will cause his body to drop weight?
just so we're on the same page, you are advising the OP to eat more calories, to see the scale drop to a lower number.
Just so I understand where you are coming from, you think that the OP should eat more, to weigh less.

Bro, 1800 calories is not too low for 5'8". Unless you are running like all kinds of cardio. Which, if you were, you would be dropping mad weight on the scale.
My first thought is....how accurate are you tracking those 1800 calories? are you weighing everything you eat? tracking EVERY SINGLE bite that goes into your mouth. I've been down this road, and I have found that 1800 calories, can EASILY really be 2200 calories, which would put you near maintenance if you aren't doing tons of cardio and would explain why you have stalled.
I'm almost 5'9" and I weigh about 163 lbs and I cut on 1500-1750 calories. So, no, 1800 is not too little.
My suspicion is you are probably incidentally taking in more than 1800 in reality. Most Recent Progress Photo thread:

Haha, the above exchange is hilarious. On subject, however, one cannot simply tell you if a caloric amount is "too much" or "too little" it all depends on you, your activity and also somewhat on your metabolism. I just suggest tweaking it, or maybe if you have been dieting a while to take a diet break, and start again. Going lower than 1800 is usually not a pleasant experience. Also, as said above, have you been calculating accurately as well? Good luck.

Impossible to say. I can lose on 3,000 cals (currently doing so) but I'm pretty active. I'm a weak 5'10 in the morning, so I'm a manlet, too. 1800 cals for a long term is fairly low for me and I'd feel like ****. Judge by how you feel and your progress. If progress stalls or you feel like crap, that should tell you something....
