What's everyone's thoughts on these types of people?
You the ones I'm talking about, the people who call you crazy for busting your ass to live a healthy and active lifestyle, insane for staying disciplined to a strict diet and workout routine.
I deal with this daily from coworkers, friends and family. Apparently getting up at 4:00 A.M. and going to the gym 5 times a week, eating once every three hours, avoiding junk food is grounds to have me in a straight jacket.
Whenever they've asked how I lost all my weight, and I tell them through hard work and exercise the response is "HA! Screw that!"
I don't let them bother me, hell I wish I could help these people out!
What's everyone else think on these types? Do they get to you after a while or do you just shrug it off?

Don't need to eat every 3 hours and it can seem excessive if u make a point to do so. Just hit ur cals. And if ur lookng at weight loss If might be good for you as well with work and all probably save some hassle from co workers.
I get ur annoyance tho when I get called obsessed with working out ect..

Challenge somebodies social norm or life style = You're crazy! I won't do it because I can't/don't want to give up my "safety"
It's all fear of the unknown and fear of failing or being made to look the fool for trying probably due to a past experience likely in their school years that now holds them back into their adulthood
*shrug*“We pay too much tribute to a few human insects when we let their wrong-doing paralyze our faith in humanity. It is a lie of the cynics that says ‘all men are ungrateful,’ a companion lie to ‘all men have their price.’ We must trust humanity if we would get good from humanity. He who thinks all mankind is vile is a pessimist who mistakes his introspection for observation; he looks into his own heart and thinks he sees the world.”

I hear the 'you're crazy' response a lot. It doesn't bother me though because I think they usually mean that my lifestyle is so radically different to theirs(i.e. workout, diet, no booze, mindset etc) that they it would be crazy for them to attempt to do what we do because it would be such a radical change for them...
The only thing that really rustles my jimmies is when they try to reason that such a lifestyle is unhealthy... lazy pigs----------------------------------

I always used to hear from my co-workers that I don't enjoy real good food, that would rustle me a little bit. I worked in an environment where the only thing to eat was junk food, so I would eat at my house on my lunch but they never seemed to understand that potato chips and candy bars aren't "real" food.

People who are not used to such a lifestyle will respond with that "you're crazy" line. It really is not that difficult once it's made into a routine and your body gets used to it. Most people will try it for a week or two and get DOMs after the first couple of workouts and think they will always have that. Or try a diet and think it's too strict and quit after cheating on it once or twice and calling it a failure.
Keep it up OP!

Those are the people that make losing weight and getting ripped so much harder. The entire time I started losing weight, I constantly had people telling me I work to hard and I need to relax more and eat more crap. This is of course coming from the people who are not trying to change their lives. Now I get to hear how I am too skinny and should not still be working hard in the gym and trying to eat healthy; even though I am far from skinny, people just remember how I used to look. The best thing you can do is just ignore people in the kindest way possible, we all have different goals, I don't see why wanting to get in shape is so bad.

I call those opinionated people. Nothing wrong with that. In fact, you are one yourself, you just see it differently.
Also, losing weight requires you to do less, not more, therefore it is not "hard work" it is "less work" eating less does not require more effort, it requires less effort. Asking others if people like this get to them is silly. Everything get's to us, question is, will we do something about it or not - other than reacting internally. Also, you do not deal with this daily, that is a pile of BS. You blanket it to attract attention.
Good day"I'll have a double big mac combo...with a DIET SODA!"
I'm on a diet.

you'll always be surrounded by people calling you "crazy" or "obsessed"... just read this:
"Steve Jobs was said to be obsessed about making the best technology possible with the simplest method possible. Michael Jordan was said to be obsessed with being the best basketball player of his generation. And thousands of other greats were said to be obsessed about something.
They were told to slow down, relax, and to not pursue their goal so intently. They were told they didn’t have to work so hard. They were told they were obsessed, and that obsession is a horrible trait.
They were told wrong.
Obsessed is just a word the lazy use to describe the dedicated.
And sooner or later you’ll realize that a majority of the world is lazy. Not because they’re lazy by birth (some are, but not all), but because they themselves have nothing to be obsessed about. And people who have nothing to be dedicated about usually dedicate themselves to de-dedicating the dedicated.
Do not fall for the trap. Obsessed and dedicated are both compliments.
Trust me."

Oh man! You have no idea... My family especially, When i decided to get fit and change my life (8 months ago) I turned vegetarian and joined the gym, 8 months later i went from 300 lbs to 175 and I don't have cheat meals, Eat every few hours and obsess over the gym.. I hear it every time my family get's together, At times it annoys me cause they all think their doctors and know about nutrition and stuff..It's funny but hey where doing what we love and where seeing rewards so keep pushing through it and do what you love!
