By law, if the waiter/delivery guy does not make more than minimum wage with low salary and tips the employer has to make up the difference by law.
So even if you do not tip you delivery guy, he WILL get minimum wage. Wounder why people do not talk about this more often? Because all those whiny goobys /always/
make more than minimum wage in 99% of the cases.
Thank you

Because they always get more than minimum wage.. was always the case when I worked for such jobs as a kid. Made 2x the minimum wage at MINIMUM /per month.
You are wrong about employer not paying the difference... in NYC they will be ****ED. Lawyers take those cases pro-bono or even free since such news are a big deal (Saigon Grill in NYC for example got ton's of media attention)'03 OG, YOU JELLY? 3K+

Retarded thread is retarded. Every server on the planet would give better service to a good tipper vs. someone who always doesn't tip.

pro-tip
servers work extra hard to make sure you have the best time you can. That is why they're called waiters and waitresses, or servers, because they are meant to wait on you. Whether they truly care or not, the better time YOU have, the better day THEY have.
But there is hope OP. There are restaurants where the servers make minumum wage, and you don't have to tip. They're called mcdonalds, golden coral etc. etc. Want to know what would happen if it because socially acceptable to tip your mcdonalds servers? Mcdonalds would start getting fancier.
Tip = higher class dining
No tip = lower class dining
If you can't tip, go somewhere else.Neg "Neat" posts on sight. *******s.

They don't is the thing. If you can't make minimum wage in a tip oriented industry it's your own damn fault. My GF waited tables all through college and would average $25+ an hour, but it was understood that if you're not making tips to cover minimum wage then it was your responsibility to work harder. Infact she didn't even get the $2 an hour or whatever

70 page tip thread incoming
i will say this isnt exactly true in the case of delivery drivers. ok so they get bumped up to minimum wage for 6 hours of work since not a single tip was seen. Cool. What about the $20 in gas and wear and tear on their car?
this isnt true in the case that he presented either. law requires minimum wage for each pay period. you could make $0 for a 6 hour shift and 100 for your next one and your employer owes you nothing
why am i biting this troll bait...im out
