No one forces your doorman to be a doorman. He could work toward at making it in a profession which is more valued and so people are better compensated.

The American economy is an amalgamation of a number of different economic philosophies less and less of which have anything to do with Capitalism.

Because a society in which everyone gets a house no matter what they do with their life is a facade. Part of the reason for the economic collapse was the government mandate that buying a house be easier which led to the sub-prime loans.
