EDIT: Being an antique collector, I have several figures made from/partially made from ivory, and considering they were made when ivory harvesting was very much legal, I have no qualms about owning them, or other people dealing in them. However, ivory is now completely illegal, for several reason, and it is still being used.

In some broadminded sense, I COULD understand if the were using it for elaborate works of art (a la the old ivory dioramas, statuettes made by master craftsman, etc), though I get the impression most of this is going to go into potions and philtres designed to make some rich old ****'s dick stand on end- and fail, mind you.
