This should not be construed as medical advice. I am a retired Board Certified Plastic Surgeon.
I prefer my Standard Pictures for Gynecomastia to better show how much contour distortion the male breasts are hurting a good cut look. Looking at a single view just does not tell enough. I also found that these views work well for changes in muscle for bodybuilding. The arms up over head and flexing muscles were designed for gynecomastia. For bodybuilding other standard flexing positions could be added, but the concept is standardizing views / muscle movement. More critical are my Standard Male Chest Videos.
The contour problems and Anatomy of Puffy Nipples will always consist of gland fat and skin. Weight loss can help with the fat component, but will not help with gland. My standard photographs are one way to document progress or lack there of of weight loss or bodybuilding. The photos are easier to side by side compare vs the videos. I also recommended that my patients also track their weight body fat numbers with the images to see what was happening as they changed fat to muscle but did not lose weight. Here is my review and resources I built on Body Fat Analyzers. We used the omron unit in the office to demonstrate the concept that an inexpensive unit could function quite well. I now like the wireless versions that seem a much better motivational tool.
Hope this helps,
