On the days I weight train. I notice when I lift heavy weights for an half-hour. I start feeling kinda light headed which is wield. I usually come to the gym energized and ready to train, but after lifting for awhile I'll start getting kinda dizzy. When it happens I'll drink water, take a short break and continue training.
After taking a break I usually start feeling alot better, but I don't know whats the main cause of it. It could be because my body isn't use to the heavy weights yet, but when it happens it can be a pain to deal with at times.

above posters haven't experienced feeling dizzy even with proper breathing.
it can be caused by preworkout also.
it happened to me couple of times before during intense/heavy work out, it's pretty normal. It also depends on your body condition of that day regardless of what you believe your body condition to be that day.. because you never know what your actual body condition is.
I even had situation not only dizzy but felt like throwing up. It could be considered as overtraining but I think I got the most result out of it. you ever hear the stories or seen videos of bodybuilders throwing up? not surprising. No pain is no gain..Last edited by godsamurai; 01-30-2013 at 10:59 AM.

The thing it most likely is is your breathing. Make sure you are breathing properly otherwise you won't get enough oxygen to your brain, causing you to become dizzy or feel like you are going to pass out.

I use to have that problem every leg day. I'd half to sit in the locker room or my car for about 20 min before I could drive home. Back then I didn't drink nearly enough water everyday and I was holding my breath to much. I was also using the leg press wrong and allowing my hips to curl forward, which is where I would really start to feel sick.

As the other fellows said about BREATHING importance. Will add to it be sure that you're eating enough Carbs and take the sugar from fruits as Orange. Dizziness is a result of decrease in blood pressure.
Let me give you a bit of warning: just because you get very good at your training it should not go to your head that you are an expert.
