They need to implement a chat channel option. That would solve all our problems. Don't need anything complicated like guilds. Just let us create a #misc chat channel and Bs there.

Game is great, but otherwise, they need to work more on the co-op attributes like the chat and party options. Just "clunky"

Aw, times like this I wish I had taken pics of my closed beta gear. I found this sweet ring that Killcock dropped for me in merciless - it increased my *** by over 100 by itself (flat elemental damage + Dual Strike is twice as good), plus life, plus some resists, plus mana regeneration.

Before Open Beta, Lightning Strike had the chance to Shock enemies. Shocked enemies take more damage per shock stack I believe. This was OP so it was removed in Open Beta; LS can't shock enemies anymore.

Isn't that Lightning _Arrow_ that was changed? It had an innate flat +50% chance to shock at high levels, meaning that everything was shocked always if you had the mana (or Blood Magic). Lightning Strike, as far as I know, just requires you to land a critical hit. (And since criticals are rolled once per skill trigger, it should shock everything at the same time.)

And the Shadow's Shock and the Witch's Static Blows nodes should add to that chance too, far as I know..

(The shock status is +40 up to a max of +120% damage, and lasts longer the bigger the chunk of life it peels off a monster when it applies.)

(That magnitude of damage mattering with statuses might mean Fire Storm isn't the best burn skill.)

Like if I got a Fire Gem and a Cold Gem, would they both work together or better solo?

More is more. Make a rainbow. Stack it to the ceiling.

A lot of people think Physical damage just sucks.

How long does an avg. runthru for a character take?

It's a lot faster if you hop along public parties, using other people's tp's to rush. You can complete an act in an hour or two that way.

Solo, when you know what to do, it's about two-three hours an act. Around five if you get bored and grumble at newbies in #global.

Hot damn this is exactly what I was hoping D3 was going to be like. So much D2 nostalgia while playing this, yet still has a fresh feeling to it. I'm loving everything about the game play. Time to feed my addiction.

Damn, my HC templar died at 28 in Vaal's temple. Got overconfident and was just rushing sh*t.

Oh well, now I can play with everyone else haha. At 31 now. Act 3 is biruful.

Game has become almost unplayable for me because of the insane lag. Going from stage to stage takes 2 minutes loading now, random freezes/DC, 2 second delay always, client will crash if open for longer than 60 mins, list goes on. Never had a single issue in closed beta. Wtf man?

Woops, you're correct. I always confuse both of those skills.

So either you've been way more lucky than I have, or you're keeping a lot more items. I've been vendoring most of my stuff, even rares, seems like they wouldn't be all that valuable. What's your criteria for keeping stuff?

trading / grabbing decent items on new characters that i'll eventually make. you never know what someone is looking for in an item. for example, take the ring that's showing its stats above in my pic. it's not good for my witch because i don't need 4/6 of the mods and 4% to resists is way too low for me to bother with it. but, if I were playing a melee tank w/ elemental damage character, that ring would be great, at least for 5-10 levels.

& I don't think I've been lucky. My shield, gloves, and weapon are below item level 15. Just haven't found anything better yet.. and I was at lvl 40 now I think when I quit earlier.



edit: I generally keep rares with favourable mods, like +life +es% +armor% +crit strike chance, +elemental damage, +resist%, etc.
I keep nearly all rings because selling rings in combination with something can net you certain items, also because it's just good to grab two resist rings right outta the stash at the start of the game for a new character.

Is anyone else having trouble starting the game? It'll load up fine but then it'll get to the log in menu and it'll play music for about 10 seconds and then freeze. I was able to play it fine earlier today, did they release an update which messed things up?

Open beta is essentially the launch. Every character now is permanent. You may get your tree wiped if they try and do some major balance thing but that's about it.

Not quite sure if i want to play this game again. I played closed beta and enjoyed the first two acts but i am not sure if i want to redo the whole thing just to play act 3. Also i am not big into getting the best gear and **** so i get bored grinding for gear.

Raped vaal without even dropping below 90% hp.. felt like a boss and charged into a few packs in act3

Got almost to the end of act3 last night on my Templar. Will finish act3 tonight then make a hardcore Marauder and give that a go. Will likely get raped before i finish act2 but we shall see.

fuarkkk i'm on normal and merveil last act 1 boss is fuarking impossible as an elemental templar. shiet cuzz how do I do it? tried to kite and kill with fireballs/firestorm, but I don't even do enough dmg to get through her energy shield then. tried to go upclose with wand whacking, but i just died before I even managed to get her below 80%.

brutus was fukin easy got it first try, how is this so much more difficult? wat strat to use bruhs

I love playing melee 2hnder, but I am so gear dependent.
It sucks seeing all the rangers and witches etc fly pass.
