sucks about the drama dude but such is life sometimes. just got to power through and hope things play out. don't know if you're into god or what not but you might want to try getting on better terms with that as a family, it usually strengthens the relationship. plus its always uplifting, unless you go to a depressing catholic church, but if that's how you were brought up that might work for you too. there's always options though brada i know the salvation army usually has a place for people if you find yourself in that kind of situation again. as the others said though no reason to leave the house, jut spend time with your daughter and then tolerate the awkwardness between the wife until you can figure it out. also always try to stay in the gym if you can, it's like therapy on the cheap. if not find a park and get your rocky on.

What's up guys. I don't even know where to start.
Yesterday was the gym day but as usual this stress from my marriage is just effecting my training and nutrition. I landed up getting to the gym at 8pm last night and stood there till 10pm.
I just mentally didn't feel strong and it showed physically. I hit a 5RM deadlift but I just didn't feel strong with my pulls at all.
Still right now i'm just stressed and completly out of everything right now.
Here is my workout from last night.
1/23/13
Squats
145x5
180x5
215x5
215x5
OHP
90x5
105x5
125x5
150x2 New PR in weight but didn't get the required reps
Deads
235x5
280x5
325x5
375x5 New 5RM PR
I did some other accessory work that I didn't really care to track. It consisted of some seated cable face pulls, overhead cable tricep extensions, DB hammer curls and DB shurgs.
Like I said I was just out of it but happy to have hit 375x5 on my pulls even though that sh!t felt heavy as fuk.
Idk I just feel stuck in this fuking grave I dug and look forward to the gym but when i'm there i'm just not fully mentally and physically in it.
Blah whatever. Hope you guys have a good Thursday. My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

Stay strong AC, if its any consolation you've inspired me everyday to keep doing the damn thing and let the chips fall where they may
I know that feeling of just being stuck in a pit and you can't see the light, but trust me its there. Just keep climbing man, even if its just a few steps a day, progress is progress.

Your personal life is more important than your gym performance. That being said, maybe you should consider doing something like yoga to calm you down a little bit (with the added benefit of flexibility improvement). Most gyms have some type of yoga class. You might already be paying for it with your membership, who knows. Sh!t, you can even do it at home. Look up a yoga video on YouTube and just spend 30mins or whatever on your off days doing that. If you learn to get into a calmer state like that, it might help with your lifting sessions as well.
It takes some time to train your mind to do this, but when you're in the gym to lift there are two options to perform well in my opinion:
1. Channel all your anger, frustration, etc. into the workout. This is how I tend to operate, so I'm the most easy going person outside of the gym, because that's where I leave anything that pisses me off, but inside the gym I'm filled with hate which I use to fuel my lifting. Learn to transfer everything bad about your life to the bar. If you have a lot of bad things going on, that means you need to put more weight on the bar!
2. Develop an 'off' switch when you walk into the gym. Zone out of your normal life completely. The yoga meditation stuff will probably help you train your mind to be able to do this. This is a great way to relieve stress too, but it's going to take more time to be able to do this effectively. Most people can't just zone out and forget about everything bad going on. I think it might be a better option for you right now. It seems like you are a person that worries a good bit and now you have all these things happening in your life.
Just my opinion though. I wish you all the best. Nutrition should be the easy part. Getting your mind right will be tougher, especially because you need to be at ease more to have quality sleep as well.Lifting Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=147159883
