I remember reading about them a little earlier ITT. You're taking fish-oil, I assume? I'm 29 and suffer from shoulder joint pain, but this is from my college goalkeeping days. Bad form
The thing that sucks is I know they'll just continue to get worse. Think about age 50. ouch.*LF Chat Crew

Yup, fish oil, bone/joint supplements, BCAAs, and multis (and of course, Creatine). I was deficient in Vitamin D for a while there (like, way back in June), so I restarted taking some more D supplements to see if that helps, since D and Calcium are both necessary for bone health.
At first, I thought it was just bad form -- but they hurt even when I only use the machines (e.g. shoulder press or chest press). So, figured it had to be more than that.
Gee, thanks. Now I know why my parents moved to the Caymans from Connecticut when they retired.

Oh I know. I just meant, thanks for reminding me about how I just much more fun living in a cold, damp place would be twenty years from now. ;-)
And in other news, my weight is now at 147 lbs. Finally! Upward trend. This must be the crappiest bulk ever -- 4+ months of bulking with less than 10 lbs? Meh.

ITT: vox has arthritis or tendonitis or both
There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?

I used to have the worst joint pain when I was 100lbs heavier in my 30's.
But from 39 on (when I hit that lower bf%) I have very little chronic joint pain.
I'll be 41 in a few weeks.
The closest thing is the inside of my elbow's hurt to the touch after I do manual labor & sometimes my rotator cuffs will hurt if I do overhead presses too many workouts in a row.
So then I just switch to wide grip upright rows for a few workouts & all is good.
I'm in the North East also so in the winter i'll do extra warm-up sets because if i've been outside for any length of time my toes & fingers are usually cold.
Since I got skinny I have no more insulation. LOL!

Yeah, I was kinda kidding. Even when I am old, I'd want to be able to hike up some hills, and Florida doesn't look like the place for that.

I "trashed" mine playing goalkeeper in college. Just fell too often on my elbows and shoulders. I would have done it differently if I could do it again. You didn't feel it then but I sure feel it now. I get a nice pop in my shoulder at the bottom of every bench rep. This is why bench will always be a weak lift for me.

Hang towel over bar
Grab towel and hang on
Great grip exercise. Anything involving a bar does not engage the thumb like this will.

Often times what people think is joint pain isn't really in the joint itself. Massaging the fascia muscles around the joint can fix some problems. Sometimes, tender spots around joints are exactly this and can be easily fixed by self massage. Foam roller, tennis balls or other hard ball like objects or just your fingers can work magic.

After I spent some time perusing the main forum, I learned that I should not ever make fun of Brad's Canadian Creamed Corn, no matter how much it looks like the aftermath of a 21 Run. Cause he'll lay the smackdown on my candy ass.
