All right boys, now watch how this is done. The key is to put it all in your groin and your back.
Take your legs totally out of the equation. Lift with your lower back in a jerking, twisting motion.

Happy New Year everyone! It's that time of the year for resolutions, goal setting, weight loss and workouts to change our bodies and lives. I commend all those individuals posting their before pics with a newspaper to show that today is the day I will change my body and life for the future. I wish everyone success on their challenges and a great 2013.

I shall be adding to that group this weekend, time for the monthly shots anyway. The next 3 months is all build, build, build. If you guys would be so kind take a look at them this sunday and see what I should really put my effort into proportion wise. There is still flab to go but thats not the focus for now-I did lose an average 10% bf these past 3 months though. - yay me!
MAY I BE AS BEUTIFULL AS THOSE i DEEM TO BE.

I decided to get back into this soon after Turkey Day and have been tracking food and working out for the last few weeks. Decided one of the reasons I failed miserably the last few years was that I took time off for holidays.
I also have somewhat different motivation: "30 at 30 for, over, and 'til 30." As in, lose (very roughly) 30 lbs (actually ~25) over 30 weeks for a (very roughly) 30" waist by my 30th birthday in mid-May. On track ... but I have at least 3 week-long trips between now and then that could throw me off.Last edited by astrostu; 01-03-2013 at 01:56 PM.

Heh, I had legs day too. Mine is also getting tough, partly due to the left knee. It's been bugging me on and off for the last year, and I'm thinking it'll be my bad knee as I get older. Maybe if they hadn't been so f*cking knobby when I was growing up... ah, who knows. Does no good to bemoan what has already passed.

Oh man being out of the gym for Christmas and New Years has made me feel like I haven't gone in months! Went last night for the first time in a week or so and am paying for it.
I was really surprised that there was only me and one other guy in the gym last night... I thought for sure the treadmills would be full and there would be large groups of guys curling in front the mirror lol
