I want to thank the guys over at Giant Sports for sending out a 2lb tub of their chocolate flavored protein to review and keep a couple of updates.
I'm no Betty Crocker like some of you guys on here so i'll mainly us the protein in shake form, oats and some pancakes or what not.
Delicious protein can be found on the BB.com store here http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/gi...s-protein.html
Price wise for a 5lb tub it's right up there with the rest of the proteins. At .84 cents a serving (before the 10% discount code) for the 5lb and $1.03 per serving for the 2lber, you're better off going with the 5lb for value.
The protein mix in Delicious Protein isn't something that's unfamiliar and consist of "Giant Delicious Protein Blend (Whey Protein Concentrate, Milk Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Isolate, Micellar Casein, Calcium Caseinate, Whey Protein Hydrolysate". It's a nice blend for a protein mix. The great thing about Giant Sports is they run some pretty extensive test to make sure they meet label claims and put out a high quality protein. With 81.8% Protein Per Serving i'm sure we can all appreciate a company that provides this time and effort to put out solid high quality supplements. Matter of fact the Protein I got came with lab results to show it's validity which was very nice to see.
Macro wise this is pretty friendly. 1.80(2g) fat, 4g carbs & 27g of protein per scoop(36g). This should satisfy all those that are macro sensitive with their proteins(pussies ).
Let's get to my initial thoughts. I used my first serving in just a shake consisting of water and two scoops. I used about 16 oz of water.
The 2nd time was just one scoop in about 8-9 oz of water with some oats for my breakfast.
I'll post some pics and my thoughts below.

So these are my thoughts on the two times i've tried Delicious Protein. I was excited to try this stuff out based on all the reviews and hype on the boards it's been receiving.
I can tell you after two shakes I wasn't really blown away by the chocolate taste. That's not to say this was bad by any means but I was expecting a little more. The taste was almost to rich for my liking. I like chocolate but it taste like I bit into a chocolate cake with just to much chocolate if that makes sense. Texture wise it was in the middle of thick yet thin (no homo *******s lol). It was texture similar to a protein blend that i'm sure all of us have had.
Mix wise it was good. I had no issues with any clumping or unmixed powder.
2 things I want to bring up.
1)The amount of protein vs the tub kind of pissed me off. I opened my protein up to find only half the tub filled and a big waste of space. I get why the tub is half empty but still it would be nice to see more powder that fills the tub. It sucks getting chocolate on a fresh new jacket or sweater sleeve lol.
2) If you can see in the powder picture there are these small little "salt" like rocks. You have to look closely but you'll see them. I don't know if this is intended but it from what I can tell it didn't effect the protein in any sense to taste, mixability or texture.
Tomorrow i'll be using a scoop mixed in oats and maybe a MRP. Till then take care guys and stay Strong(er).

What's up guys just wanted to drop a quick update.
I had 1 scoop of Delicious Protein in 70g of cooked oats(Quaker old fashioned). I'm going to be honest and say I wasn't that impressed with the taste in oats. It mixed perfectly fine but the taste didn't whoa me or make me say "damn this is some good pro oats".
Based off the three times i'ved used the chocolate flavor I would give it a 6/10.My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

What's up everyone. I wanted to post another update.
I had one scoop of Delicious Protein in 1% milk last night. I had 8.5 oz of milk for one scoop. Man I'm just not impressed with this protein. The taste is more of a cocoa flavor vs a chocolate flavor. I still get the chocolate flavor but it's not the typical flavor i'm use to for a chocolate protein.
The shake was thicker in consistency and it had some slight clumpage towards the bottom. I did mix it for a good amount of time due to the shake coming out thicker.
Overall being real with you good bros i'm not really liking the protein much. I let my wife try a scoop in water and she actually enjoyed it more than me. That goes to show you taste buds vary.My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441

You'll like it.
Yeah, I believe the flavors are like this for me: Van>CnC>Choc. I'm starting up my review thread this afternoon. Just finished off some chocolate fluff and will be having an almond-milk chocolate shake in just a bit. I'll save my exact thoughts on Choc. for my review/log. Check it out when it gets put up, homie.

the pattern with whey is that chocolate is the safest bet, it's generally good and well liked and isn't as subjective as vanilla. Every vanilla whey review on the other hand is 50/50 lol, truly a hard flavor to nail, choc not as much. But in any even you're right, but Im loving the vanilla too much to even think about switching . Have you tried the vanilla by any chance?

What's up everyone. Just a quick update. I had DP in a MRP like shake. 1% milk, frozen berries, frozen bananas, 2 scoops protein and peanut butter. This was the best application for this protein probably due to all the other ingredients at work.
I'm going to make some protein pancakes either tonight post workout or tomorrow and will update you then with that.My training log: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=178464441
