    One of those days.....

    You guys ever have one of those days where u don't wanan train whether your too tired, lazy or want to do something else. Today i had one of those days and i still pushed my self through the workout and now i feel great What makes u get over this and not succumb too lazyness.

    I just go in and do it.. usually about half way through the workout I feel better already.. that usually happens to me like once every 1.5 months.

    it only happens to me sometimes on chest days. i go to the bench press rack and my mind is totally not there and then i do bench press and i got no energy it sucks

    yes, seems all too often, i never seem to have the energy to workout, i still do, but i dont get into it as much,

    i have been like that one time and i wanted to get srious but i couldnt do it, so I thought maybe if I get pissed off it will help...so I did one thing that always pisses me off. I bit the inside of my cheek! It hurt like a beeaaaatch and i got all pissed off hahahaha. But it worked!

    lately, ive been thinking of brent smith and brett fieldman, and honestly how much i would like to get up on stage and totally destroy them. do i have the size? yes i do. do i have the width and thickness? yes. but i need to streamline my midsection( my stomach is sorta like craig titus's YIKES) and widen my lats some. two words that have come into my mind while i have been working out lately are "teen nationals." i really have this desire to compete now and feel i could create some havoc. but i got a lot to work on, and along with some help im working on it. im looking maybe to do a qualifying show sometime in 2002. im working on posing constantly and wil get help with it in january along with coming up witha routine, with help from my friend chris( who actually came in behind Brent smith at the nationals i believe). but until that day, i will keep giving it my 150% in the gym, and i will continue to use them for motivation to fuel my workout and my competitive drive for success.

    Ocassionally but rarely do those days come. I always look forward to hitting the gym since I do it later in the day. I don't care how much homework I have to push back for it. LIfting is what my life revolves around not the other way around. The best part about lifting later is there is always something that happens during a school day to piss you off. And instead of going home and kicking the dog (a joke) you can hit the gym and take it out on the weights. So even when I'm not in the mood I just think how much crappyer and I going to feel if I don't go to the gym. I'll be letting myself down. It's all about sacrifice, you just have to go in and suck it up and beat the **** out of the weights.

    The reason I put in (a joke) after kicking a dog is cuz I'd never kick my dog. I was using a metaphor for not taking your frustrations out on the world and instead taking them out on the weights. I was serious about what I wrote Joe. I wasn't jokin on your motication I was just saying that I live for the weights and I can't even imagine missing a day no matter how bad I feel.

    If i hav an off day an i cant be bothered then i either watch pumping iron an i juz get so motivated an i really wanna go in or i use that as my off day and dont go b coz if your not in the mood then u cant get the right intensity to your workout and you dont get as much out of it.

    I normally get those days when ive either got alot on at skoo eg:- an assignment or when i havn't had enuf sleep.

    This also helps me the next day b coz i wont to go in and train more b coz i didnt go in yesturday :-)
