Had a blast boyos
Out in dworshak state park Idaho
Spent first few days with just wife and kids we made reservations a bit late in the year but got some decent spots
I sleep outside in the hammock in peace and quiet reading and listening to my wife yell at kids to go to sleep in the camper. Warm sun gets me up and going if I don’t wake up early for a run.
Mucked around by the swimming hole but it’s kinda barren there. Kids likes playing with all the tadpoles but I like heading out for a hike around lake to find a shady spot to jump in which is where we hung out and ate lunch the second day.
My brother came up for weekend and we set him up a tent only site on the lake to hang out and we had cigars and talked about life through the night after putting kids down.
Overall 8/10 camping trip and needed to disconnect from internet, work, society for a bit.
Everything wasn’t sunshine and rainbows tho... first night there I was gonna save some grey water space in tank so I used the public shower building... smelt like chit when I went in, go to furthest shower smells even worse, get undressed put things on bench keep shower slippers on, walk in shower and ....

Sounds like a great trip though. Just spent a week at the beach and felt more drained than when I went. Great times though, but definitely not a decompress like you had.+positive crew+

So you are the reason camping in Idaho has become a chit show LOL, JK. Nice work brah. I camp almost every weekend kayaking and dirt biking. but its all dispersed camping. Check into that, no reservations and way less people. Although that lake is badarse. Worse part of dispersed camping is you might not get a restroom. Bring a shovel, dig hole, poo and go on with your day.
