you would think, but most dogs, especially huskies for some reason, never learn.
They keep attacking them again and again with the same result.
Also, fun fact, did you know that porcupines can run backwards just about as fast as they can run forwards?
I found that out one day.See BrianDaMans sig.

I had this happen to a dog about 20 years ago. We were out at the lake on Memorial day and he ends up with a mouth full of quills. Brought him back to town and luckily my vet was at his office.
He put him under and picked them out on at a time. It took about 90 minutes from start to finish.
He kept him over nite for observation. I picked him up the next day and he was fine.
The total bill was $60. It would probably be at least 10 times that these days.

When I was a kid we had a dog that would get quilled every so often. He'd come home and wait on his mat for my dad to grab the pliers and yank them out.
He went to the vet once when it was particularly bad, and the quills were down his throat.
I think he figured it was a challenge. Like, one day he would win and kill the little prick..See BrianDaMans sig.
