    Ask a Submariner

As you can see in my Profile, i am in the Royal navy. Some of you may be interested in what life in a submarine is actually like, so feel free to ask me anything thats on your mind.
SUBMARINES ARE SAFER THAN AIRCRAFT .....
THE PROOF IN THIS FACT IS THAT THERE ARE MORE AIRCRAFT IN THE WATER THAN SUBMARINES IN THE SKY.

There are 2 kinds of ships in the ocean. Submarines and targets.

    Submariners do it deeper!

The Boat can go up to 25 knots (MPH) while submerged.
And it CAN beat up the gorilla and Bruce lee, but it is screwed if the wooden box teams up with them.

The food is the best in the armed forces, Good food is essential for morale. Morale is vital if you dont see daylight for 3 months. I once ate lobster while on board, you wont get that in the army!

Typical breakfast would be a choice of cereals, oats and full english breakfast. We get toast, eggs, sausages, bacon beans.....good choice.

We have theme nights too. saturday is steak night, wednesday is curry night. Things like that.

They can serve if they want to, but as i said before, the armed forces are full of homophobes. If a homosexual wants to join, its in their best interests to keep their sexual preferences to themselves.

You crave daylight, artificial lights makes you moody after a few weeks. When you come out of the boat, after a long patrol. The fresh oxygen can make you dizzy, its weird.
