    Knee sleeves on the bench

Thought never crossed my mind to keep the SBD's on after squatting but recently ive seen more and more people in shots from meets and in the gym wearing their knee sleeves whilst benching

like anything the proof of benefit is trial and error so i will be giving this a go but just wondered if anyone else had heard of this and knew of any benefit at all from doing so? (aside from not having to bother taking the sleeves off post squat )

I wouldn't see any benefit wearing some knee sleeves on the bench.

Could be cause they're so tight that they don't want to be bothered trying to take them off. Or they just want to keep their knees warm. Those are the only two reasons I can think of.

Though I can't imagine wearing my SBD sleeves that long if they're tight after my squats and waiting to bench.

My suggestion would be to not wear them. Sleeves eventually stretch out and you lose some of the benefit. Bending of the knees stretches them more than when the legs are straight, so why would someone want to wear them while benching since the knees will be bent the entire time?

I wear them sometimes to keep my knees warm, it helps with the tendonitis. Other than that, if your knees are totally healthy I don't see any benefit.
