Does anyone ever feel like they just will never get there?

Ive been working out for 5 months now. The first 2 months the progress was amazing. I stayed in deficit for the first 4 months but after month 2 saw no progress in muscle/strength/or fat loss. Last week i had summer break and gained about 2 pounds boozing with friends and going out to eat a couple times. For a person who started at sub 20% bf I feel like i should have been cut enough to be able to bulk and put on muscle w/o looking fat for a period of time.

Honestly I just feel like ive stalled and I will never reach my goal. I feel like no matter how hard of a deficit (I used to do 1600 now I am on 1800) I go on I never lose weight but as soon as I go to even 2300 which should be maintainence I put on weight so easily.

Of course at some point everybody feels like that, but what I'm doing is, If after two years of training and proper nutrition I still haven't reached my goals, or made huge steps towards them, then i will start to lose faith but till then I'm motivated like hell and I give everything in the gym, and you should too

It took a good year of solid and consistent training and nutrition for me to get to a place where I'm proud of my physique. Just gotta stay on the train, patience is key in transforming your body, it takes time.

Patience is the most important thing, i stay motivated by tracking my workouts from week to week and see how my strength increases.. Then i know i'm on the right track

5 months is short..trust me I feel like I'll never get there sometimes. Watching the Worlds Strongest Man and seeing guys rep 700 on squat when I haven't even repped 300 yet..shi**y feeling but I have to be patient
