Hey everyone, I've been pretty lazy just lurking on these boards for a while and finally decided to sign up.
I'll try to keep it brief, here's a little backstory... picked up a weight for the first time since HS last May, liked it but worked out about once a week and had no diet behind it. Stayed that way up until about this June, when I began hitting the gym at least 3x a week, but still no set diet and definitely not proper nutrition. Up to 5-6x a week since mid-summer 2012. I was seeing some progress but didn't bother with the nutrition aspect up until about mid-October, when I began my first "bulk". Researched a lot of ways to bulk and went for it. Saw my lifts go up, but also a dramatic increase in weight. I wasn't going for a "clean" bulk necessarily, but wasn't looking to put on this much fat either. Since the start of the bulk, gained about 8-10 pounds, which I know must be a ton of fat, even though my caloric intake wasn't a ridiculous number. Though I've done a fair share of my research I'm still having trouble with diet. I have a lot of questions still about nutrition, and would greatly appreciate anyone who is willing to take the time to answer some questions. Any comments/questions/critiques welcome, thanks in advance!
