There's no reason to spend more than 15k on a car. Anything more than that is pretty extravagant unless your income allows it. Personally i'd need to have 250k liquid in the bank before i would consider a purchase like that.

get a used m3 or m5 for that price... or a slightly used 535i would actually be my pick. You could get one with less miles and it's a far better car. My dad has a new one and it handles amazingly and you can easily tune the turbo to get much more power out of it.

At 69,571 miles, he did a lot of maintenance work on the vehicle. He purchased the extended maintenance plan on the vehicle and it is good until 4-30-2015.
According to the history, it's a clean car trouble free. Seems to be in good shape. Has the right options.
I don't know your market, but I would see what they are selling for in your area before making an offer.
Handles better than the s class, better driving than the A8 and more room.

I never understand why people do stuff like this, you could buy a fully loaded brand new "regular" car for 31k (ie ford fusion titanium) and it would be 20x better than this with more options and features and tbh the new loaded regular cars from ford and all the other normal car brands look great. All you're doing is paying for the brand, if you want people to think wow this guy is killing it he bought a used 2009 already outdated beamer then go right ahead but it's literally the dumbest financial decision ever.
