Actually they did. Some units in south vietnam were extremely effective and if their ideas were implemented, by cutting enemy supply lines and relocating civilians the war would've been over quickly. The VC suffered over 2 million in casualties/deaths, the US suffered 56k+.Originally Posted by underfed

These groups are aware they can't win a conventional war so they claw at armies for years until the population back home can no longer stomach relatively low casualty rates.
