I cant get enough to eat most of the time, at least healthy food, because I am the only one on my family who eats really well, oats, eggs, no junk food, etc. The budget for food is small so we only try to buy what is on sale but still keep it healthy. But at almost every meal I have to have a bowl of cereal, healthiest kind we have is raisin brand I think, because there isnt enough food. Does anyone else have this problem?
Cliffs on average food in a day.
Meal 1
two bowls of raisin brand
shake with oats and whey
meal 2
peanuts and raisins
meal 3
different every time, pretty healthy, usually have a bowl of cereal with whatever else
meal 4
some healthy carb, fruits veggies, brown rice
meal 5
never the same, something mom makes, usually healthy
bowl of cereal again, usually same, raisin brand.

How can raisin bran be cheaper than oats?
Here, a post listing some very cheap foods based on calorie cost: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showpo...1&postcount=12Ultimate goal: to engage in a healthy lifestyle which I can sustain and enjoy for

theres no protein in meals 2 & 4, eggs are cheap and calories dense, cans of tuna are the best in convenience and are also cheap. milk powder is cheaper than liquid milk is you do the maths, i just bought some skim milk powder and gonna add it to my PWO shake .

My advice would go to your local food store like Highlight (if you have one) and get the rotary chickens or raw whole chickens. They are cheap (here they are.. like $1.50/lb) and have plenty of nutrients. One would last you at least a day and a half.
